Kasim Sulton will be playing a solo gig at The Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland, Ohio on Wednesday 8th August! (This is the day before the Meat Loaf concert in the city.) Kasim's gig starts at 8.00pm and tickets are $22 in advance and $25 on the door. Doors open at 7.00pm and this is an all ages show.

Kasim is heading to the Great White North! His first solo show in Toronto Canada has been booked!

It is on August 15, 2007; doors open at 6:30PM, first band goes on at 7:00PM, the 2nd band at 7:45PM

Kasim's set begins at 8:45PM.

Kasim will be playing a solo gig at a great venue called Alligator Alley in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on Wednesday 29th August. http://www.kasiminfo.co.uk/2007/08/29.html has more info about the gig, especially about purchasing tickets in advance which is highly recommended for this particular gig.

This venue is only about 20 minutes away from Mizner Park (where Meat Loaf is playing on 30th August) and 3 hours from Orlando (where Meat Loaf plays a concert on 28th August).

The three solo gigs booked for Kasim so far this summer are:

on WCMF on 96.5 FM Tuesday morning (24th) at approximately 8.30am in Rochester, New York. http://www.wcmf.com is the website for the radio station.

Kasim played a solo gig in 2005 during the Meat Loaf Hair Of The Dog tour in Manchester. During the 2002, 2003 and 2004 Meat Loaf concerts over here he often played a short opening set.

I really hope he will play another solo gig here but the problem is that it's not financially viable for him to fly across for one so he'd probably play one during another tour.

His gig-booker has told me though that the problem he has booking Kasim during a tour is that the band don't always know where they're going to be staying until too late to book anything. (Although that situation couldn't have applied this year when we knew 7 months in advance that Meat Loaf would be playing, for example, Manchester on the Thursday and Saturday so they were bound to be staying in that city on the Friday - the same applied for London, Birmingham and Sheffield.)

One suggestion might be to e-mail Kasim yourself (his e-mail addy is on the contact page on KasimInfo.com) so that he can see how many people are keen on him playing over here!
