Pick and Mix when there's a huge stand/shop/whatever that has huge tubs of sweets and you serve yourself whatever you want and pay for the weight you've bought - so you pick and mix which sweets you want

Who is a pussycat? You or me?

If it's you...you got that right...except for when you're cranky...

If it's me...well...you will meet me next week...not long to wonder...

But remember...I did warn you...

If you find a strange woman dangling from your neck...it ain't a necklace...it's me saying hello with hugs...

That reminds me of an old movie star of silent films era...

She was a...risque woman...and was known for her quotes...

One time she came to the catholic mass...she sees the priest walking down the aisle swinging the insence...

She says to him...

Darling...LOVE your dress...but your purse is on fire!!!

Not if I get you first, my record for hugging is 4 hours non-stop with the same person - and it's not my husband

Chips are french fries

That's blasphemy!! There's a huge difference between a chip and a french fry over here...

I will have no chance of having intelligent conversation including "poor" with anybody...

Unless you're talking about our financial status after we've been to the merchandise stands...

And apartments are flats...

I did study British English in school...in fact, I couldn't understand a word when I first came here and the only thing I've watched was Benny Hill show cause I understood it...it's a slang that I have no clue about...

We're in the text message age now...i read some study that said grammar and spelling has reduced significantly since texting become so widely used

True...

You should see my texts...I refuse to abbreviate...so they usually take like 3 pages...

Still and all...if you abbreviate 5 letter word into 3 letters...don't see much gain here...

Although problems with education started with advent of MTV...all those videos created a wave of Short attention span disorders...

The only reason I don't put punctuation spaces or capitals is that I haven't figured out how to do it on this phone...not very user friendly...I figure I am entitled to this transgression...;)
