View Full Version : Could This Be Of Possible Help in PR for Anyone?....

Hi! I mentioned a little idea i had in the midst of all the single distribution nuttiness late Thursday night. Well, it took a bit longer then i'd like but maybe, although it wont help in the campaign to get the single in shops (although thats fixed now i hope!)and of course its also too late to help get the single pushed up a bit this 1st week (#31 is good i think!). Maybe perhaps, it could still be of help in getting further word out and then (hopefully!) more airplay and then maybe quite possibly a higher ranker for the following week. Those that can email radio stations, or a friend who might not know about the single and who may want to run right out and get it after they hear a bit of it, this might just help! So, I'll shut up, since im not explaining myself well (I feel bad i cant do more then just buy some singles online and such while here in the States)anyway, and just send you here:

Now, it of course is not an attempt to step on any toes, and i even inputted a copyright for all infos involved in it, but its just my effort to help and 'spread the word.' Its even got an "Email to a friend" and "IM to a friend" function (THESE two things are what took so long, its a techy thing, wasnt wanting to work right!) as well as links to where you can see the video and buy the single.

I went with a 'basic' animation, but hopefully its also streamlined enough to at the same time look polished and professional. My apologies to MBrevard, as you had a GREAT idea (I even saved it to try and do it!), but for the life of me i couldnt come up with photos like you suggested! Sorry!! Hopefully this one is still ok.

Well, send it to the stations and anyone else you can think of (only if you think it will help to see and hear something and the recipient wouldnt be annoyed by it!), and Have a Good Holiday weekend!!

Oh, Jen! It's simply brilliant!!!! You really have a gift for doing things like this. You know, I go to your website when you've done something new and I think, well, she's never going to top this! But somehow, kiddo, you ALWAYS do!!!

I think you're going to have a very hard time, though, topping this one. It's amazing. I don't know how you put it all together in such a short time!!

Thank you, also, for the very kind comments you gave, and for trying. That night was an interesting experience. I found out just how difficult it was to try to put an image one has in their mind into words. Really tough thing to do, but I think it would have been tougher for someone else to create that image, from just those words...

Anyway, no one could want ANYTHING better than what you've done here!! I simply love it!! I worry a little for you, though, because of the Meat Loaf logo you used. After his anger the other day, it pays to be careful. But I can't see how he could complain, with something as beautiful and as well-done as this is and of course, it was done with him in mind!!

Thank you from all of us out here who are fighting for CHSIB for Meat!! This is going to be a powerful weapon to use in the our little 'war'.

I DO hope you WILL be coming out to Saratoga or Kelseyville this year, so we can buy you the wine or dinner that we promised. If nothing else, we certainly have a big hug for you--we're sending one via cyberspace right now. Hope you feel it. You are a treasure in our ML community!!

Thanks again!

I'm sorry the Email part isnt working for you Dottie, I'm trying to figure that out, as i havent had trouble, even when i launched everything in Netscape! Go figure?! I'll do my best!

Thanks everyone for the kind words, again its just my effort to help out with things to get the word out.

As for the logo, someone (David!) was kind enough to send me a font that's similar to the Meaty logo so I'm pretty sure i wound up using that in the two spots that Meat's name looks closely like the logo (on the launch page and at the end of the animated E-card itself), so 'technically' i wasnt violating anything, but i more then understand the concerns (I think its a wee bit different though, as im not looking to profit from anything!).

As for California and the shows -- Of course i wish to make it out again, for work and/or just pleasure (Konocti was awesome! Spa heaven!), but I'm not just sure yet if and what i can do (I'm trying to line up some work so it depends on that i guess). Did we meet once MBrevard? If so, my apologies for not placing the name! Take care and thanks again for the kind words!

Great job Jen!!! You are a true talent, thanks for all you do.

And I might add to everyone else...her website is awesome, if you've never been there, it's something to see. Having gotten to know her thru several lists and meeting her, I can truthfully say Jen is one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

Thats fantastic, well done!! Blimey some big corporation somewhere could use skills like that! Maybe if Fireball is reading this he has a spare position on his promo team??!! Or maybe the record company, since they made such a PI** POOR JOB of getting the sinlge out!

Well done again, thats excellent.

Dottie, you can also cut and past the url and then send it. Or you can use the option "email to a friend" in the popup-screen. I'm gonna send it to DJ's and radio-shows that way.
