 How can this song be "ruined"?
Paradise By The Dashboard Light is on the Bat Out Of Hell album, and it will always be there if you want to listen to it.
It's not like they've replaced it with THIS recording :wtf:
It's a little kid singing along to Meat Loaf, and I think it's pure METAL 8)
THIS is where the new generation of fans will come from, and that children so young can listen to, enjoy, and grow up with Meat's music is BY FAR Meat's greatest legacy.
Forget awards and chart positions, when you see a child like that singing Paradise, and loving it so much, that's the ultimate acolade 8)
Dare I say that myself and the fiancee have had this discussion more than once, and we intend to bring our little squeeklings up on a healthy musical diet of Meat Loaf, and i'd be a very proud father indeed to see my children rocking out like that :D

You've outdone yourself this time.
My family just watched that and loved it. that's what kids do. It's far from ruining it. That most bitter award should of said mean. My other half just watched and read that, knowing ~~~~~~ all about you and couldnt believe anyone could be this nasty.
You may need a lot of therapy but it's not for watching this.

I enjoyed it :-) -- wonder how old he is??
I got my next door neighbour into MeatLoaf by playing him Bat - he's only 6! and the best thing is, it so winds up his sisters - they hate it.... so funny to watch!! he so rocks!
I wasnt sure if it was a boy or a girl Ross lol. But which ever it's very cool.
I was going to post a video of Jake singing to one of Meats songs a few yrs back, the above comment has made me think twice now :?

There's something very cute about kids singing along to their favourite songs, isn't there? It's a shame mine don't like Meat, I love it when they sing along..
*takes life in hands* Believe it or not, there is more to life than Meat Loaf and rubbishing anyone who likes to sing along to his songs for not being him - I'm well aware that my voice is moderately dreadful, and for that reason you'll never find a video of me singing on YouTube, but that shouldn't mean I'm never allowed to sing along if I want to, should it?
In short, if you don't like the video, don't watch it.

I think this is cool, my four year old daughter is the same. She sings loads of meat song's her favourite being frying pan.
I think Meat would love seeing this and i agree that bring a new generation of fans through is very important.
How anyone can see this as ruining a song is beyond me, honestly i don't think i can say what i want to without getting banned!
This is so sweet and hilarious!!!
See how ecstatic he/she (:?) becomes.... Great!! Love it!
No ruin of the song at all!!!
I´m sure Meat and the band would be proud and happy to have this little kid as a fan!
Can´t believe, Emma, you´re seriously talking about this kid ruining the song... it´s a kid! C´mon! It´s having fun singing to Paradise, that´s one of the most beautiful things an adult (and mature!!!) Meat fan could possibly see and you´re talking about a ruin of this song :nope: unbelievable...

And in other news, the "most bitter poster" award in the 2008 MEATIES looks to be a dead cert.
Do you really have to be so negative towards anyone who dares sing one of "Meat's" songs?
Good luck with the therapy.
Dave
my little brother richie when he was 8 years old , all he wanted for his birthday from mum and dad was bat 2 cd , and now look at him ,
OH MY GOD...
This is by far THE CUTEST thing I've seen on youtube...
This is absolutely precious...
I think it's a boy and he looks to be between 5 and 6 to me...oh my god...new generation coming up!!!!
GREAT NEWS!!!
And by the way...whoever doesn't like THIS rendition...should have listened to mine...as Mr. Flying Mouse will attest...not only that i didn't know music...but once he blocked the screen with karaoke lyrics...turned out I didn't know any lyrics either...that is after listening to this song one hundredd bezillion times...by far this little child outdone me hands down!!!
And if you think Zina's rendition was bad ... you should have heard Neil's :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
(Sorry it was too obvious a one to let pass)
I can't stop watching this...this is WAY TOO ADORABLE...
Ok i have the remedy to the cute kid but be warned you might put your own kids up for adoption after watching this!! He is one obnoxious little s**t!!

That's got to be the best thing i've seen in a long time ~ she's fantastic.
Just one question though, why is it that children do the pointy finger thing ~ laughs ~ my daughter does it too when she's singing along to Meat Loaf.
ames xx
My daughter Hazel has been brought up on MeatLoaf. Now at 5 going on 15 we do an impressive intro to 'you took the words...' and it is hysterical watching her try to clap and sing along to the end of the song.
The other day we were watching the Spiceworld movie and she said 'that sounds like Meat Loaf' - she started dancing around the room when I said it was.
Do you think this 'fan' thing is genetic???

I'm sad to say I can't sing and clap at the same time, I think it's genetic!

ok just got online so nobody jump on me for replying late.
Emma that was a bit crappy, a child singing anything is cute and i think it's even better that it's a Meat song.
I just think that if in the future i posted a vid of Casey singing a Meat song and someone was as rude as that then i would feel like tearing their head off.
As far as worse being said by others, yes that's true and they should be pulled up on it but that doesn't exscuse this comment i'm sorry, i know people close to me don't agree with me but those are my feelings.
Yes one of Em's outbursts did cause me to contact M when he first came to us to point out that not everyone is like that so  swings and roundabouts i guess lol.
Hey dont bring me into this lol!!!

My Boys have had a steady Meat Loaf diet since they were born. Hubby thinks that they are brain washed. They both come running in and point out to me when ever Meat comes on the radio - they know all the words by heart. It is great to hear a 11 year old boy sings "Like A Bat Out of Helllll" at the end of the song. I just cant wait to hear him when his voice starts breaking (cruel mother).
I even got a phone call from the other side of Australia the other day when a Mother and her grown daughter who was brought up on Meat were in the coffee shop arguing over when BOOH I was released in Australia. Guess who got it right. (Anne hide your head in shame) ;)
Without the younger generation this music will get lost. Now that I have a video camera I might have to see if I can get some of my oldest singing to BOOH.
I thought the rendition of Paradise was lovely. When my boys get into the car they ask for me to change the song to Monster and sing along to that - If any of their friends happen to climb into that car they have to listen to it as well. Monster nearly lasts from our front gate till the shops in town, which is about 10 kms Ha Ha. I am brainwashing a whole generation of Esperance kids :D
Anyway, have to go and get a couple of kids to go to sleep.
Bye All.
...Without the younger generation this music will get lost...
To be honest that's what threw me completely about this thread (regardless of the manner in which it was posted...) I would have thought it's a wonderful thing to see young people singing along to Meat and enjoying what they're hearing?!
I know a lot of people consider me to be one of the "younger" Meat fans as I'm very much of the Bat II generation, but had it not been for me singing Anything For Love at the top of my voice in the bath, or my best friend and I singing our hearts out to Martha and changing the words, I'd never be the fan that I am now with the enthusiasm and passion that I have for Meat's music...
Whether we're discussing Meat or anyone else I think it's a real positive thing to see young people enjoying music from this generation which otherwise would be lost
