Never noticed this before, but my BOOH CD doesnt have "Songs by Jim Steinman" written on the cover.
always thought it had....
Is this normal for the CD or just that issue?
weird

I know one version (just from pictures) has it directly one line under "bat out of hell"
It's just the normal album, no bonus tracks or anything.

weird thing is I never noticed that before today
Its quite common with the older pressings of the CDs. The one first issued in 1993 (and used since from that pressing) all miss Jim off the front.
If you look at the cover, there is quite a bit of the 'Bat' cover missing from around the edges. The wheel is closer to the left and top and the blast at the bottom of the bike is closer to the bottom right.
Not sure why Sony never corrected it for this release, but its still available as a budget item.
I'm sure some ~~~~er on the Steinman forum could come up with a story how Meat and re record company decided Jim was worthless and decided to press on without him. Or something along those lines :P
AND YES, I KNOW meat wasn't with sony in 93, I was just making a point of how duh they are over there heh

Now now there's no need for that little outburst.
The subject has been raised many times on Rockman, and although some people there see Meat Loaf as the Devil incarnate, most have the intelligence to rationalise that Meat Loaf had nothing to do with Jim Steinman's name not being on Bat Out Of Hell.
Personally, I've seen Jim Steinman's name more times ON Bat Out Of Hell than off it, but if I saw his name off the cover of Bat Out Of Hell, then I really wouldn't give two f*cks either way, and I don't think many others would either.
Pud
