Hi thought I would post this to see if anyone else noticed the mistake during the dvd concert in Melbourne with the MSO.

During For Crying Out Loud, at the second chorus approx 85 mins into the show, the camera cuts from Meat to show the orchestra and then John Miceli. We catch a glimpse of Patti, who is wearing a completely different outfit. What made it obvious is she has a coat on where throughout the main concert she had sleeveless top. Hmmm. Wots more entertaining is that CC seems to have vanished from the top stage.

I found it amusing, see what you think!

How many people are now trying to find their DVD to have a look!

I know the show we see on the DVD is a combination of the two shows Meat did there, but I wouldn't have thought there'd be any reason to switch shows mid-song :? Hard to comment without looking though!

It was bugging me so just had a quick look on You Tube...as far as I can see Patti starts and finishes the song in the same outfit, black trousers and a long black strappy top, then she changes into the short skirt and long leather coat for Bat

Hi, sorry it only a glance you get of her in different outfit, and CC missing, when the camera goes back, all is back to normal. Im just very easily amused. You would need your dvd to see it me thinks, I paused it and saw it then.

Why would they cut to footage from an other song? FCOL was only played on one night, so they couldn't have used some shots from the "other version".

And FYI: when the DVD first came out, I tried to find out which song was taken from which night.

Fact 1: Mr Loaf "plays" guitar only in the first two songs, and they stand in front of the drum riser for the rest of the show. You'll notice the white New York Yankees guitar on the viewers' left, and the black acoustic (which wasn't plugged in according to the commentary) on the right. Except during FCOL and the start of Paradise. Then you see the acoustic one on the left, and the white has disappeared. When Meat stops the orchestra because it came in too fast, you see them for the last time. After Patti and Mr. Loaf are done fooling around, you see that the black guitar has changed color. Ergo: cut to the other night.

Fact 2: With the exception of FCOL and the first half of Paradise, Mr. Loaf is chewing white gum. Either it's the lighting, but I'd swear that he's chewing blue gum during this song-and-a-half.

Fact 3: FCOL was only played on the 20th.

Fact 4: Two Out Of Three Ain't Bad was only played on the 22nd.

Given these facts, apart from FCOL and the first half of Paradise, all songs were recorded on February 22nd, 2004.

I can't believe that my day is so empty that I actually got the DVD out to look...but I did, and you're absolutely right! Well spotted! Literally for about a second Patti is shown on screen wearing her long white coat with the black pattern...

She clearly sang the entire song in her plain black outfit so my (uneducated) guess would be that the shot of John fit better into that frame that the footage they originally had and so they cut that shot in but failed to notice Patti's costume change...either that or someone simply made a mistake, but it is there

There is a great one during Lemon when Meat's guitar disapears. Its just round about where he kicks over the mic stand. He hasnt got a guitar and then for the final line he's got the guitar again. I'll try and find times.

If u look at the you tube clips its at 7.04.

Its literally as he kicks the stand over. People will argue that the guitar is on the other side. Just keep looking. It aint round his neck nor is it at the riser. It actually disappears. Maybe when Meat retires he could relaunch himself as Paul Daniels! Woooooo. lol

The easiest way to tell is Meats ring on the Friday 20th show he wears it on his left hand and on the Sunday 22nd show he wear it on his right hand!! I thought he'd got married and yes Paradise does change half way through!! I thought with the gum that Meat says in the commentary that he always has a indigestion lozenger on one side and gum on the other cos the lozenger dries his mouth/throat out!!

about the gum thing (quite off topic but what the hell)
I never really understood how he could sing with it, how this would help or how he could do it.
On several radio shows I had to talk constantly for hours, and my voice dried out quickly as well (I usually drink one bottle of water per hour during those shows), so when I heard his gum story first, I tried it, but I couldnt get out one clear word, was mumbling all the time and always had to look the damn thing didnt fall out my mouth.

I've tried doing shows while chewing, and half the time the gum ends up shooting out over the front row when I hit the high and powerful notes. I'll get it right one day lol

Meat lost his chewing gum a couple of times in May...it was quite disturbing to see the amount of people that seemed to want it

And no, not because they were competition for me! I love Meat but I think taking things home because he's touched them is just a touch overboard for me :p

yeah i agree...If you start that then anything can be considered...the toilet paper from his dressing room, toe nail clippings...

Seems nuts to me, but there are some that would pay massive amounts of money for things like that...did someone eventually buy Britney Spears' hair after she shaved it off?
