Rumor or speculation, i do not know, but i've not long got in and other half said he'd had a phonecall from the sister who lives Ooop North and she's heard that Meat cancelled Manchester because of Meningitis, not Laryngitis??

If we believe everything we see and hear then this week Meat has had acute laryngitis, meningitis, exhaustion, stress, a general sore throat, has had a stroke and died once...you've gotta love the press, not to mention the internet

None of the press reports I've seen or heard have mentioned meningitis at all, so I'd say we can safely assume this is up there amongst the other rumours of Elvis guesting with Meat to perform Paradise along with Lord Lucan taking over as lead guitar player and Shergar playing bass.

No, that one's true. Initially they had Shergar on backing vocals, but he was too hoarse ... :roll:

@ Lucy, if we opt to believe each and every single source claiming to know exactly just what´s up with Meat Loaf, we will have to conclude that genetically he is a combination of Chuck Norris (for handling so much) and Elvis (for "having died" while still rocking around his christmas tree). But Laryingitis sounds rough, had that once, been struggling with high notes ever since, good thing I tend to sing low anyway. But I hope WHATEVER he is suffering from, it will not eternally affect his vocal abilities, cause he´ll be back and he´ll want to perform then.
