Yep me and Heather (meataholic) made a long weekend of it. We were there for the practice day and the 3 days play  Very cool indeed.

Here's just about everything there is from the one in the uk

I only went for the first day when Meat played the All Star Golf here in 2006 but I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who can make this one. I'm not a golf fan at all but it was a really great day out even if we hadn't seen Meat (which thankfully we did  )

Found this. You can read the full article here (http://sport.guardian.co.uk:80/breakingnews/feedstory/0,,-7235337,00.html):

"..... A special bonus for Leonard, winner of the 1997 British Open at Royal Troon, was playing in the company of rock stars Alice Cooper and Meat Loaf.

"I have played with Alice a couple of times and he's a really nice guy, very laid-back and a good golfer," Leonard said.

"And Meat Loaf couldn't be a sweeter guy. He struggled a little bit with his game today but he made a great par on the last hole. It was fun to be there today."

Celebrity Q&A with Meat Loaf at the Bob Hope Chrylser Classic

Leighton Ginn • The Desert Sun • January 20, 2008

You have a documentary coming out.

http://gcirm.mydesert.gcion.com/RealMedia/.ads/adstream_lx.ads/ca-palmsprings.thedesertsun.com/sports/golf/bobhopecc/article.htm/853197784/ArticleFlex_1/OasDefault/GCI-Lexus086-DesertSun-300x250/Lexus086-DesertSun-300x250.html/64353835646339663436396663333230?_RM_EMPTY_In March. It will be in theaters in March. I know it will be in L.A. and New York. I don't know where else.

What about Meat Loaf will we learn that we don't already know?

I don't know. You're going to have to see it. I know all about it. I can't tell you what you don't know, because I know pretty much everything going on in there.

Was it nerve-wracking playing in front of a crowd this week?

No. I did better in front of the crowds than I did when they roped them off. I need a crowd, give me some people. If I don't have people, I can't play.

What was the inspiration to use Phil Rizzuto in "Paradise By the Dashboard Light?"

Phil. Yeah, Phil was the inspiration for using Phil.

What are some of your memories of Phil?

The fact that when we were doing it. Everything that's written in that came from him in TV and radio. Everything is his words. We just edited it and put it together. But when it came time to do it, the first two or three times, he couldn't do it. Everything was monotone. 'There it is, a line shot up the middle. Look at him go. Boy can he fly.' No Phil, (do it) like a game. 'Oh OK.' (then does it in a monotone again) 'Boy, look at him go. There he is right in the middle.' It was really funny. Obviously he got it, but Todd Rundgren was producing and after a half hour, he was getting frustrated with him, because Todd has no patience whatsoever. None. We're talking zero patience. Nice guy but zero patience.

Can you still sing that one line from the Rocky Horror Picture Show?

Opportunity bless my soul? Yeah, probably not in the same key.

Another iconic role on film was playing Robert Paulson in Fight Club.

Yeah, that was on (Wednesday) here. I didn't watch it though. I watched Bruce Willis in Die Hard.

You watched Die Hard instead of yourself?

Yeah. I watched Bruce. I haven't seen Die Hard for so long I had forgotten about it.

What were some of your memories of working on Fight Club?

I really liked working on Fight Club. I liked working with Brad (Pitt) and Ed (Norton) and Helena (Bonham Carter). And I certainly loved (director) David Fincher. It took me a while to understand David because he likes to do a lot of takes. The average is about 40.

Really?

Yeah, I got into it then. It forces your creativity. Now when I do these movies, these Home Box Office or TNT movies and you get one rehearsal and four takes. 'Oh come on man. I got so much more to do.' Those are good too. David, you got a lot of options, and you have to think through your options and then pick them.

I thought this was interesting ... you were in Texas and you saw President Kennedy land in Dallas the day he was assassinated.

I did. We were at the airport and one of my friends shook his hand. One of my friend's father worked at the airport and they knew what exit at the airport he was coming out. I didn't have the nerve (to shake his hand). I was scared to death. I stood back and one of my friends named Bill Slocum shook his hand. We were going over the Market Hall, because we had friends there, we were going to sneak in there, where he was going to give his speech. We were at Mickey Mantle's bowling alley and someone said he was shot. We asked where they were going to take him and they said Parkland. We knew that was the closest. We got to Parkland in the driveway before Kennedy did. But we sat in the car for hours there. We couldn't get out because there were guns everywhere.
