Rare Songs: Take A Number

"Take A Number" was the B-side track of the "Modern Girl" single in 1984. It's a very good and typical Rock'n'Roll song, which is one of my most favourite rare songs. I totally understand why this one wasn't part of the "Bad Attitude" album. It has got a completely different style than the other songs on the album. So it would had been out of place and was the right choice to make a B-side single track out of it.

"Take a number, I'm a housewife's new delight. Well every mother and daughter wanna jump on the back of my bike."

(Hey Meat, it seems to me, that you are an every woman's heartthrob. )

8/10

I agree with you Garrett!
It's a good Meat song. I don't understand why does Meat always make classic rock 'n' roll songs for B-sides. There are the Elvis songs or Mercury Blues at now. Like Jumpin' The Gun...

My score: 7

Average: 7.67 (23/3)

there is also an extended version of this song , available on the modern girl 12" single only , which i think is better than the 7" version. it runs for a few more minutes and has a longer intro. 8 / 10 for 7" version and 10/10 for the 12" version.
