Hahaha, that second one is pretty much exactly what my cat does! Although usually once she's on my lap/stretched across my chest I can tickle her into submission for a bit.

Oh that's absolutely hilarious! Especially the second one...I was in fits of giggles...my cat lives on through the Simon's cats cartoons! It's so clever & accurate - especially that standing in front of you whilst watching the TV business and digging in with its claws!
Ash if you can tickle your cat into submission you are very lucky - with my cat you could do that for as long as she wanted to be tickled, and there would be the period of about a nanosecond between her wanting more tickling/stroking and showing you she'd had enough. You knew when she'd had enough though because that was the moment her teeth / claws sunk themselves into your arm - which necessitated developing lightning fast reflexes. Still, I will always love cats and it's their weird, awkward, quirkiness that I love most about them.

Marvin shows his tummy to me but i'm not allowed to touch it lol!! Sam will just lie there for hours having hers rubbed!! Sam does the sitting wanting to come in and then when you open the door she just sits there!!

our cat used to be the same with going out, and with eating her dinner. unfortunately my parents hadn't at the time realised the patience required with cats. and so used to tap her gently to say go out if you're going, or go on eat your dinner. unfortunately by doing so, they inadvertently trained her, and she then wouldn't touch her bowl unless tapped on the legs or behind.

our food was an entirely different matter though - she wasn't allowed around the dining room table (no idea how my mother policed that, it's my experience cats will do whatever the hell they want!) but eating in the living room was something of a challenge...if you weren't quick enough your forkful of mash potato would never make it to your mouth!

Love them both Sam. the second one is just like my cat Charlie, she will sit and Meoow and if that doesn't work will scratch at the patio door, so sounds just like nails down a blackboard, so you open the door and she sometimes will just sit and look at you, then when you go to shut the door will quickly rush in. I hasten to add she has a cat flap in th back door to come in, but if she knows someone is in she won't use it.
