to all the soldiers of the world, past and present, who sacrificed their health or their lives because someone else thought they should...
Thank you for trying to make my world a safer place.
We should never forget. Every single one of them is a hero.
We will never forget you...RIP those who lost their lives defending us and may those that are in the armed forces now be always safe...

I don't agree with war at all and wonder why we haven't found a way around it, with that said I admire any soldier who puts their life on the line for their country and for freedom, I can't say enough for them.

Saw something interesting on Russian news last night...
Remember, Veteran's Day is about WWI...1914-1918
Beleive it or not...there are still 4 surviving veterans of that war alive today:
One in Russia - he is 112 years old, one in the States and 2 in Australia...

 Actually, we have three.
Funny enough, one for each service, Army, Navy, and the Royal Flying Corps.
These three chaps were on the telly the other night, and when asked what message he'd like to pass on, one of these chaps said "remember the Germans, as well as our own".

Well, I have to think that Australians and States are yours too...LMAO
The UK has four remaining survivors.
They bear listing here
Henry Allingham, 112 (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/henry-allingham-portrait-of-a-witness-to-history-1001058.html). Harry Patch, 110. Bill Stone, 108, and Claude Choules, 107.
Canada has one remaining veteran, John Babcock 108.
The US has one remaining veteran, Frank Buckles 107.
Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Poland, Turkey and Austro-Hungary have no remaining survivors.
WOW...how incorrect the news were...still and all...I found out something I didn't know...
Wait, I don't get it...who is the guy then that was shown in Russia on TV yesterday???
Wikipedia has a different list lol, I find it sad that our colelctive governments can't maintain an accurate list! There are different lists based on differing views of the term "served in WW1" some survivors are discounted because they joined up after the cessation of hostilities but before the treaty of Versailles was signed, so they served but didn't fight.

Well...I am keeping them...but my guess would be that he is not originally from the States...neither probably are Canadians/Australians...
