 Hi, and welcome to the forum :D

For me, it all started with an advert for Woolworths

You can see why, as well as reading how other fans got into Meat, in this thread here (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1483&highlight=woolies)

I remember seeing Meat for the first time back in 1978 on the 'Old Grey Whistle Test' with my boyfriend at the time, and let's just say Meat Loaf has a lot more 'staying power' for me than boyfriend ever did.
Meat has rocked me ever since. Luv cx:D

 Any more family members become fans, and we'll have to open a branch office of the fan club at your house

I always remember seeing the video for "Anything for love" when i was a kid and it reminded me of my fave thing at the time; Beauty and the Beast. But it really wasn't until i was going out with my first boyfriend and we were sat in his kitchen eating chocolate ice cream and his dad was playing Two out of three. Thats when i went to the library got out some meat cd's on loan and listened to them constantly! lol

Wow, what great stories, I love hearing how other people got hooked on Meat Loaf. I became a fan with the original BOOH, I loved the songs and thought what an amazing voice. My friend got me the album for my 17th birthday, and another friend got me a concert ticket and I've been hooked ever since.

Heard 2 out of 3 on the radio in 1978. Job done. Fan for life!

Thanks for putting that link up, it was really interesting reading how everybody got into Meat's music and became fans. While I've been a lifelong fan, I only joined both fan clubs a couple of years ago as I didn't have a computer before then, now I don't know how I ever got by without one!!!!!!!!! Joining the fan club was the best thing I ever did and I've never looked back.
