Yep :-)
Why?
It's bad enough doing all the things that have to be done in a day without wasting time telling the world and his dog (and Stephen Fry) that you're doing them :))

From what I understand it's a site that posts status updates only like on the Facebook but only status updates...

Thus making it rather pointless.
Thus making it rather pointless.
Just as I thought...
One thing I don't know and if nobody tells me I guess I won't find out...do you have to have people as "friends" on Twitter too to see their updates or you can see anybody's updates who is a member of Twitter?

still not 100% sure of how it all works, but I think you see the updates of people you're 'following' and they see yours if they're following you, or if you post an update in direct response to them by including @*insert username here* in your post.
I am Samurai7uk if anyone wants to follow me, so to reply to me you'd put @Samurai7uk in your post.
(I think ;))

Well, 'followers' is a better term than friends for starters. You could follow Stephen Fry, but that wouldn't make you friends, now does it?
But basically, Twitter is blogging in 140 characters or less. Dump a link, tell what you're doing, whatever you think it is, it is.
(and whoever can't figure out my username on twitter...)
