I know some of you were fans of the Golden Girls sitcom.

Well, our golden girls are leaving us one by one.

Bea Arthur died today at the age of 86 from cancer.

I loved watching the golden girls on tv with my mam its always sad to here someone has passed away R.I.P Bea arthur god bless from lisa01

Sad. :( Last year, Estelle Getty passed away, now we have lost another Golden Girl. The Golden Girls is my favorite sitcom. One of the things I liked about it the most was Beatrice Arthur's deep voice and her facial expression when Dorothy was supposed to look sceptical or annoyed.

A great artist both onstage and in tv shows, I grew up with her carachters, loved them all...

especially for lines like this:

Rose: Well, I'm here if you want to pick my brain.
Dorothy: Rose, honey. Maybe we should leave it alone and let it heal.

I also used to watch The Golden Girls. It was (and still is) one of the best sitcom I've ever seen..

It always amused me that the woman who played her Mother was actually younger than Bea...LOL

She was a true talent...RIP
