Hello again,

Yesterday I started the thread Your dearest Meat Loaf item? (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=13035), but in addition to this thread I think we should have a "twin-thread" called Your most precious Meat Loaf moment(s)?...

I guess a lot of you have many highly memorable moments with or related to Meat Loaf... That might be encounters, concerts, Meet and greet, and so on...

Tell us about them, and if you have related pictures it would be nice to see them too, but its not a must offcourse... :D

 Top moment was meeting him for the first time (at the signing at Virgin Megastore after RAH).

Shook his hand, told him "thank you for all the work you've done for the last 30 years".
He said "you're welcome".

What more do you need from that? 8)

One of my best moments was probably Meat himself taking the mick out of me and one of my best friends at the second Glasgow show in 2007. Randy kept coming over and playing in front of us and each time, we'd cheer him on while grinning like crazy. So about half way through the show, Meat ran up behind Randy and mimicked fangirl behaviour while he was right in front of us

That can't top the London show last year though. Despite my completely and totally freezing up and pretty much forgetting how to breathe at the meet & greet it was one of the best days of my life. Meeting Meat and chatting to Mark and John (who were both really lovely) was brilliant.

Probably my first responce in a forum on the other side when I asked my very first question, asking if he could tell me what the Razor's Edge video was about as I love that song but I don't get what the video was about and he replied back with;

Neither do I, I was told by CBS records not to question just do !!

For me it was the M&G before the show at Pompano Beach, Florida this past October :))

It was a small group, and Meat was in a great mood ... joking around with everybody and dumping the entire box of shirts on the floor :lmao:

As a joke, I was going to give him a small gold kazoo ... it was still in sealed in a box, and when I went up to get my picture taken, he grabbed the box out of my hand and tore it open like a little kid. He really loved the kazoo, and when he started playing it, I laughed so hard that I almost knocked down the curtain backdrop behind us :lmao:

my most precious Meat Loaf moment is probably watching him punch Michael...

and then later that same afternoon, the look on Meat's face when I opened my arms up and said "Daddy!"

For me it is every meet and greet at last years shows, each one was different and special in it's own way, and I will treasure the memories always, plus the concerts were great too.

Mine has to be @ Wembley arena, May 14th 1999

When he opened with 'Home By Now', sitting on a rock, and then going straight into 'Life Is a Lemon' ... OMG Amazing... My 1st Meat show...

And also at that show, when he finished the set with 'All Revved Up'

My best Meat Loaf moment would probably be getting a free M&G from the big guy then giving it away to some dear friends of mine who thoroughly deserved it. And the fact I live in New Zealand made it geographically impossible for me to go anyway :))

would have to be three moments, for entirely different reasons

#1: When I first got Bat out of Hell and listened to the title track entirely for the first time. I used to own a compilation with a version that cuts away after the first half. Finding out there's more to the song I already liked, and experiencing the incredible power of the second half, was the one moment that completely turned me into a Meat Loaf fanatic, with no way back. :)

#2: Meeting the Loaf after the show in munich 07. we had been waiting for about an hour outside the arena, already on a high from the show, when one by one the band turned up, topped by a quick chat to the Loaf. That's the kind of thing that makes a ML fan's dreams come true. :))

#3: Meeting the girl I love for the first time at the dortmund show in 07. If we hadnt been waiting together in the cold rain in front of the arena for five hours, it might have never come to having her as an important part of my life. :D (Just in addition, that same night we unexpectedly got into the very first Bat Cave for free, which probably helped to make this a memorable evening as well.:)))

Collectively my meeting Meat experiences have to be my best Meat Loaf moments, each with their own little stories that I'll never forget, from golf courses to penalty shoot-ts to lifts, they've all been fab - I especially always giggle at Andy and I being greeted in Helsinki with a "what on earth are you doing here?!"...

Best 'moment' though has to be my first MLUKFC meet and greet back in 1999. I was a complete wreck, cried the entire time and couldn't speak ( I shall blame being a hormonal teenager and none of you were there so you can't argue! :p ) I also had that complete dread of having loved Meat since I was 7, spent countless hours dreaming of meeting him, then meeting him and it being a complete disappointment and him being nothing like I imagined. Thankfully he wasn't, he was a true star and did a wonderful job looking after me in the state I was in!
