I'll be honest, I can't stand the Beatles, probably because eveyone says I should like them

there are quite a few Beatles songs I could imagine the Loaf do. The long and winding road for example. He could also take one of the lesser known ones like Mr Moonlight. (not suggesting he should do exactly this one, it's the first one that came to my mind)

The good thing I always think about The Beatles is that many artists who have covered their songs have often done an amazing job in my opinion and put emotion into the songs which the original ones hugely lacked. Their songs are great but in my opinion their execution was often piss poor and hugely overrated. Compare the stuff they were doing when you had artists such as Janis Joplin around and it really beggars belief to me.

Some covers I like:
Joe Cocker - "With a little help from my friends"
Tina Turner & Roxette - "Help"
Aerosmith - "Come Together"
The Temptations - "Hey Jude"
En Vogue - "Yesterday"
....Meat Loaf - "Let it Be" & "Come Together"

....Meat Loaf - "Let it Be" & "Come Together"

They would be good if only he didn't omit some verses

I always loved the Beatles albums .. still do ..

However .. don't you think it might just be a bit of fun on video seeing as he's in the studio with two musicians called John and Paul?

In case you're referring to the new video on Twitter, calm down. I assume "Ringo" just wants to make an album as legendary as Abbey Road.

Oh, wait a second, wasn't Abbey Road the last album the Beatles recorded? :yikes:

i hate the beatles music :(:(:(

I don't like most of Dianne Warren's songs, yet it does not keep him from singing them, LOL.

it was ment as fun, im sure:D
we really dont know nothing yet? but i think we all pick up on the early signs that its gonna be different:| and i say good luck to him, most artists at this stage of there careers would play it safe and release a few greatest hits or my favourite songs of the 60,s
if he pulls it off [ 100% credit ] to the man! if he dont, well its another [ 100% for trying ] when chsib was released, i thought that was it? so its great that he keeps going! so to all the fellow fans that were dissapointed by bat 3 and chsib, i hope this blows us all away! i liked the last 2 albums imo
so lets see what happens?

The Beatles share something with Elvis besides unparalleled levels of popularity - the fact that any true music fan, while they may dislike each artist for a particular personal reason (i.e. vocals, song styles, playing), they should respect them because they influenced virtually every rock act that followed.

Personally I love everything The Beatles did from Revolver onwards.

Plus the fact that the Beatles are - numbers-wise - one of the top selling acts ever, if not the top-selling act. They've set so many standards that it's hard to ignore what they did for music.
