Hey guys, does anyone know a good (hopefully free ;)) program to extract a part of a DVD in order to upload to Youtube etc? I have a DVD of a show I was part of last month, and want to upload segments of it, but am not sure how to go about it. What programs do you guys use/recommend?

I use Nero (not free) and DVDx (free). Can't remember if the latter lets you choose a section or not, but suggest you d/l it and give it a try.

Your best bet is to convert the DVD to a avi file or MP4. This is a free for 30 days one, and is quite good to do this. http://www.winavi.com/.

You can then split the file, into your segments with Windows movie maker.

Then upload to youtube, trying to upload a large DVD Mpeg 2 file would take ages, I would think.
