View Full Version : A question about the Cleveland Music Hall concert

As far as I'm aware the concert was broadcast as part of the King Biscuit Flower Hour and included the full show, complete with FCOL and Hammerdown. There's a reasonable quality recording of this floating around. Also a bootleg of this concert was put out that omits the above mentioned songs, but is much better quality. This can be heard at Wolfgang's Vault here:

Now unless I have things arse-about-face Wolfgang's Vault are providing the bootleg and not the original radio broadcast. Am I right or have I got it a bit wrong?

As a side note I love this show. You can clearly hear Steinman on the piano and the whole show seems much 'better' than the earlier Bottom Line shows.

I have this show on a CD that was produced for syndication on the Radio. It omits FCOL and Hammerdown, but is excellent quality.

So the bootleg CD wasn't originally a bootleg, but an officially produced piece of kit?:sherlock:

Also just noticed my original post has been edited. Is Wolfgang's Vault not meant to be mentioned here?

I bought it on Ebay, and it came with the cue-sheets. It even has the adverts and the announcements on it. I also bought another King Biscuit Meat show on vinyl, but that was from 1985 I think, from the Bad Attitude era. It's a double disc set, but side four is Robert Plant, not Meat.

I still think its just a BALIVE soundboard. But that debate isn't worth the time or infractions.

Look "Meat Loaf Cleveland Music Hall" up on youtube in the playlist tab.

No it isn't! :wall:

the vocals on BA, all revved up (with the intro cut from the VHS), Modern Girl, POTA, and BOOH all line up perfectly and are identical.

No more must be said. this argument has happened b4.

It has and you were wrong last time too! It is a different concert. One was in Boston, Massachussetts, USA. The other was at the Brixton Academy, London, England!

Wheres the evidence? they could've recorded that guy saying "Live from boston" and meshed it with BALIVE's Bad attitude recording (which they obvioiusly did). As a matter of fact the Bottom Line show is the same exact thing as Boston!

Much like on LATW. Some tracks we knew were recorded at the Bacon Theater:

DRFL was at the bacon theater, but it says "Los Angeles, CA"

Midnight was at the bacon theater, but it says "Cleveland, OH"

All Revved Up was at the bacon theater, but it says "Rotterdam, Netherlands"

Its a zoo out there.

I just compared Bad Attitude, Dead Ringer and Piece of the Action from the Bottom Line 85 and Bad Attitude live shows, and apart from that one runs slightly faster than the other, the similarities are uncanny.

Shhhh! Next you'll be mentioning that the feedback occurs at the same points too!
