I think the God Speed part has been unnecessary in every song in which it has appeared!

:D
It should be in EVERY steinman song!

I agree, it's a bit lame and too repetitive. I couldn't believe it was in Graveyard Shift, what the hell is that all about?! Only bit I don't like about that song, the rest is awesome. The fact it was in the original BFG, fair enough, I like the original transition back to the verse.

Godspeed part is very appropriate,

I watched this last night with a couple friends. I was drawn to this like a bandage to a wound!

I notice that part of the second verse is missing, as it is on the Birmingham recording. Does this make it the only song that Meat has recorded and performed regularly on tour that he has never sung in it's entirety?

 What about Home By Now?
If that's the full version, then it's a bloody short song.

HOME BY NOW

SWALLOW
THE LOCUSTS ARE SINGING
THE SUN IS RED
IT'S GOTTEN SO LATE SOMEHOW

BRAT & SWALLOW
THERE'S GONNA BE TROUBLE
YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SAID...

BRAT, SWALLOW & POOR BABY
WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HOME BY NOW...
WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HOME BY NOW...

POOR BABY
What you doin?

EARL
Lookin' to put up a tent.

POOR BABY
What for?

EARL
Revival meetin' Christmas Eve!

POOR BABY
What's a revival meetin'?

EARL
Why don't you come and see?

YOU WANNA WRESTLE?
WRESTLE WITH THE DEVIL IN A HEARTBEAT?

POOR BABY
Wanna kitten?

EARL
Wanna surprise?

THE SNAKES COMMENCE TO RATTLE
LIKE DRIED BUTTER BEANS
YOU GOTTA BE PREPARED TO WRESTLE
WRESTLE WITH THE DEVIL IN A HEARTBEAT

THE LOCUSTS ARE SINGING
THE SUN IS RED
IT'S GOTTEN SO LATE SOMEHOW

BRAT & SWALLOW
THERE'S GONNA BE TROUBLE
YOU KNOW WHAT DAD SAID

BRAT, SWALLOW & POOR BABY
WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HOME BY NOW
WE SHOULD HAVE BEEN HOME BY NOW

So not really a proper song.

To answer my own question, Nowhere Fast. Meat always seems to have sung the single edit.

lost boys and golden girls (deprived from jm barries peter pan), Meat acted out Hook. Loved the show when I went to birmingham in 1988... really something special that night... my best concert i went too, as i love the bad for good album by jim steinman and first time meat had sang those songs on the lost boys and golden girls tour...

That's probably because Pearl is a quite well-known manufacturer of drum sets (http://www.pearldrum.com/).
