Thanks for posting Benny, looks like it just hit You Tube yesterday.

Looks like he had a great time! Did you read the full description of the video? One technical discrepancy (IMO) Meat doesn't hijack a stage....he commands the stage.

After he's hijacked it ;-)

Shame about the sound quality of the clip but it looks like that was the place to be on New Year's Eve!

I think it was probably more a sign that it was a song that everyone knew and could play at the drop of a hat.

What a New Year's Eve that must have been! Meat, Patti and Pearl plus Corey Taylor, Scott Ian & Jerry Cantrell on one stage, fantastic.

Sorry, but the sound quality was so appalling that I didn't enjoy it .. in fact stopped listenting to it. I can't believe Meat would feel happy listening to it either :( I'd rather go with the memories I have, when I could hear and enjoy Meat getting it right.

I see it's still there .. and would understand absolutely if it gets removed.

If the sound quality had been better, would you have enjoyed it or would you still have favored removal?

Honestly? If it had been a high quality recording I would probably have listened to it, but would have still agreed if Meat wanted it removed.

The other clip that was referred to here of the new song from the album, recorded at Rock Fantasy Camp .. I didn't even look to find it because I thought it shouldn't have been posted. I am happy to wait for the re.lease of the new album.

I cannot stop grinning watching that, it looks like so much fun! As a fan of Corey Taylor's bands as well as Meat, that video is even more brilliant for me so thanks Benny!

For clarification: Although the sound wasn't of high quality, I did enjoy watching Meat have fun. Off the cuff, jammin' with some names and having a Happy New Year's Eve. I could imagine being there, instead of in my PJ's watching the ball drop from Times Square NY. Obviously, I had no plans this year for New Years, but watching that party was cool.

Consequently, I would agree with Meat taking down any video no matter what the quality because it's his decision regardless. I agree with his decisions but I know as a fan I will miss some of those vids.

:)) That's a little contradictory to what you said in the "Meat Loaf vs Me" thread. I wish some fans would just admit that they're curious instead of stressing that they're super-loyal supporters who normally wouldn't touch such stuff. ;)

For the record: I'm curious and loyal.

Not at all. I was posting about Meat's right to request removal of certain things posted on Utube .. and I said:

The way I see it as a fan and supporter of Meat, he gives so much that I am perfectly happy to accede to his wishes if there are things on Utube he wants removed.

I'm honest enough to admit to curiosity, like Suzie. But as a supporter I both understand and accept Meat's views on live performance recordings for which he has not given permission, and his right to ask that they be taken down. Nothing contradictory there imo, and your comments about "super-loyal supporters" are rather unnecessary, and no more appropriate when accompanied by a wink.

I didn't say I was "super-loyal" .. just expressed my view that because I am a fan and supporter I would accept his decisions without whinging or complaint, just as I did when he withdrew permission to take photos during the performance. I accepted that and left my camera at home because he'd made his wishes clear, and I was able to enjoy the press photos which appeared.

Nor have I said anywhere I "wouldn't touch the stuff". I have said I would not put bootlegs on my website. I wouldn't and haven't .. but yes, I am curious when someone posts on this site a link to something .. and let's face it for all one knows when such a link is posted it could be from a TV show, so although it might arguably contravene some broadcaster's copyright, it was a televised performance, and as such if shared rather than sold, may well be covered by the broad term "home recording" anyway.

I noticed the drummer in the background mouthing the word "Wow" so regardless of sound quality on here it must of been great there.

@ Caryl: I've heard that song before and unfortunately it's as long as a Steinman tune again.

Thanks for posting. The second video is quite good quality. Anyone wanting that to be removed or supporting that is sick in their brain in my opinion. I hate the attitude of depriving others of watching what you have seen/are able to see, it's rather selfish. Some people only have YouTube and cannot get to see Meat Loaf shows.

It popped up on youtube so thought i'd share with my fellow fan's...
Meat rocked!;)

The video clip is what it is. I have seen a few cell phone clips from that New Years show on youtube. Folks, cell phones are communication devices and thankfully some of them have the ability to do more than just make telephone calls. A camera is a camera and a telephone is a telephone, some telephones happen to multitask, but we cannot expect miracles. I am thankful to see Meat Loaf up on stage and having a good time. That is what matters, not the quality of the footage.

Smile folks, we have a new album on the horizon - this is not the time to be bickering about petty things....

True, and that is what matters at the end of the day, right?
