so what would be the the most expensive not necessarily on ur list
Depends what you're classing as an item here. Are you limiting it to recordings only or other collectibles?
There's the 'known to exist' but in Meat's vault stuff like pro shot 89/90 concerts, the Bat 2 concert video with Jim. Demos and outtakes for any of Meat's albums (Incl Bad for good)
I suppose the rarest thing of all would be Jim' notebook with the songs for Renegade Angel!

There is someone who claims to own a Dead Ringer 35mm print.

The zimbabwean double LP of BOOHII
Good for me. ;-)
I would guess, however, that either the Popcorn Blizzard single or the Clap Your Hands / Stand By Me single on ODE Records (which was never commercially released) would be the rarest/hardest to find.

There is at least one audience recording of a Storytellers show as I've heard snippets posted on a Meat fan site that now doesn't exist.

None. It's called Live In Europe but it just has a couple of studio tracks from Bat 1 and Dead Ringer. Nothing to get excited about.

If I rememebr correctly it was released as a promo item to coincide with Meat 1982 European tour.

Good promo: mislead the buyer into thinking its live

 WEll there are plenty of one off items (the helping hands spring instantly to mind. Also the drum head John sold with all the bands sigs on it) and as there is only one of any particular one off (makes them one offs I suppose  ) it's impossible to get more rare than that.
But to answer the question of what is most expensive, you have to look at a factor which is even more important than how rare something is.
Desirability.
For instance, does anyone remember the raindeer Meat painted for charity?
Quite charming in it's way, but I don't think too many people would go a whole bundle on the item now it's long ago and far away.
The hype that originaly surrounded it has gone.
Of course desirability is down to personal taste, which means that the ulimate collectors item (and i'm guessing that's what this thread is out to find) must be something that is very rare yet something that most fans find very desirable.

something that is very rare yet, something that most fans find very desirable and would love .
Personally, I find the elusive red scarf rare, highly desirable, and would absolutely love to frame it.

Dead Ringer movie ahoy. i think us fans more then desire to watch that
:weee:
I have Paul Crook's white mask from DO IT from the CHSIB Tour...It is autographed by the entire NLE, does that count for anything?
Paul Crook will forever be my hero for that :-)
I have the original "genie ears" that Meat wore during the making of the R&R Dreams video + COA and hand autographed pic (in my presence) of Meat as the "Genie".
I also have an autographed movie ticket from "A Hole In One", which was never released to movie theatres only film festivals. I saw the film at a festival, kept the ticket and later had Meat sign it for me at a M&G.
Those are the 2 rarest items I have in my collection.

I'd think that the Deadringer movie is in deed the Holy Grail for any Meat fan or Meat collector (There's a clear distinction and the two aren't mutually exclusive. Many Meat fans don't avidly collect).
As has been said Eva released a number of items within the fan community when she liquidated her collection a few years ago. Some more desirable than others, dependinhg on personal taste. For example the Helping Hands whilst a one off item wouldn't be somethign I'd personally be interested in, wheras the signed bass guitar was.
I'd have thought the original painting which features on the WTTN cover was a very desirable item to many collectors, but luckily for me it turned out I was the only bidder.
For me personally the Zimbabwean Bat II and the two early seventies singles are the items that I'd most want to add to my collection. Although the new album is a must find as well when it's released ;-)

Think id get sued for putting that on youtube if i found it?

Good point, Andy.. that collecting is a personal choice in what is most desirable. I must agree though, that just "seeing" the movie Dead Ringer, would be at least 1 of my ML holy grails. :)
