What happened to the avatars ? [Archive]

I noticed last night that even after you log on, the avatars (next to people's names) are missing. Is it just me, or is someone else having the same problem ?

Not a problem for me, there are some changes going on behind the scenes witht he site at the moment (the toolbar and the facebook bridge being two such examples) which may mean that some features of the site change or become unavailable for a short while. Just go with the flow and all will become clear ;-)
