Don't think enough people have heard this awesome version of the Beatles classic. Amazing to think it was sung live acoustically.

I'm not keen on it or Come Together. I'm not really a fan of Meat doing acoustic stuff. Or a fan of The Beatles either really!

there's a very unusual gasp by Meat on Come together, I think overall i prefer that to his version of Let It Be

To be fair, I think the acoustic live recordings of "Let It Be" and "Come Together" will probably be more polished in terms of their sound than "Why Don't We Do It In The Road" because my understanding is it'll be a live recording from a concert and not in a "live lounge" type situation. Of course, I could be wrong.

Even so, the live-on-stage version was brilliant!

Recently watched Storytellers again and I do love the version of "A Kiss Is A Terrible Thing To Waste" from that :)

Not necessarily. They had about 30 or so to choose from so I dare say they would have picked the best performance. I'm pretty sure Meat didn't sing Let It Be and Come Together that many times to get the best ones.

Let It Be and Come Together were from a "live lounge" type situation for Nightline/ABC Network USA and not performed in front of a crowd. The live CD is apparently recordings from Meat's previous Casa de Carne tour, as I understand it, so the quality will invariably be affected by that. Having said that, I like the live sound of some recordings because it gives the song a different atmosphere and puts you "in the moment".
