You might find it forgettable, but the vast majority of people on this site do not. I'm one of those who do not.

Yes I do.

Precisely, I wish people would qualify their statements to say "I find the album forgettable" and not "The album is foregettable" because it makes it sound like there's massive support for that view behind them.

7 billion people haven't bought the album ;)

Most people after a show are more concerned with getting out of the car park first, instead of wanting to buy anything.

That is true, but how you tell when the audience really liked the show is by how much merch is sold after the show. We've been selling about 10 to 15 CD's before the show . The other night we sold 150 after the show. I by the way buy merch after a show not before when I go to a show. Never before. Every show I have ever been to , I bought after the show . Am I weird. ?

Right, to buy the merch after the show is much better - what would I do with CD´s or so during the show - yeah I will dance and not hold some stuff :bunny:

No, I am the same, I buy merch after the show too. Especially if it is a standing gig I don't won't to go into the arena with bags or a huge tour book.

From the ML gigs I've been to there are always large queues at the end. That's good about the CDs, thanks.

Great to hear the gigs are rocking! Please ML, consider giving us a little something at the end of the tour. Just for those who couldn't afford to see what was going on. :)

I prefer to do it that way, so I do not loose stuff during the show.

Pudding, 7 billion million people didn't buy thriller.

HCTB aint no Thriller and you can't moonwalk http://thisisthestoryof.files.wordpress.com/2010/07/the-moonwalking-shopper.gif

Even though 7 billion is a little extreme, I was qualifying my statement as was asked and which puts me in the vast majority of people on the planet who haven't bought the album. I'm also in the vast majority of people on the planet who haven't bought Thriller either.

Oh... wait a sec... sorry... Wrong identity. I've forgotten that I'm Pudding (at least as long a certain forum member is around :bleh:).

To get back to the original topic: Any speculations about the artwork and the title? Julie Bell again or something totally different? Another Russ Meyer reference? How about a quote from Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!? :)) Jokes aside, what do you think?

 Yes.Yes you are :yep:

But weird is the opposite of normal, and normal is a misconception of other people's reality, so it's all good

Personally I like to have a scan at the merch table before the show because..........

A. After the show is time to spend with friends talking about the show.

B. The bar is waiting.

C. The best merch might be sold out by the end of the show (especially nice unusual items like shot glasses and teddy bears  ).

I feel a poll in tour talk coming on :sneaky:

So you have not even bought HCTB ? can i ask why ? Have you heard it ?

No I haven't. Yes I've listened to the album several times. If there isn't enough songs on the album, on any album for that matter, that I like then I won't buy it, especially when I can buy individual songs online. Since the only song from the HCTB recordings that I really like (Prize Fight Lover) was given away for free, buying the album makes no sense to me

Before anyone starts with 'but you'll be supporting the artist if you do', 'you're not a true fan' etc etc etc I'll be supporting Meat with enough hard earned cash when he gets to New Zealand.

Not really, I prefer to buy before just to make sure I have the merch but I can see why people would wait. It's quite annoying trying to enjoy it with all your newly acquired goods. That said at a few gigs I've been to the staff force you to leave quickly so you sometimes don't get the opportunity.

Drumbum
02 Sep 2010, 00:51
I buy before the show too. I nearly always do my best to get down the front if it's standing and I'd like to think if the artist took one glimpse, they'd spot that I'm wearing their t-shirt or whatever. Just so they know that I fully support them. I'd usually have whatever CD they've been touring before hand anyway.

I bought the Casa De Carne t-shirt on the way in. Same with the two Bruce t-shirts I bought on the Magic and Working On A Dream tours and at the Status Quo concert on the Pictures tour.

tl;dr: I buy before the show and that might make me weird also.

He must have a wicked sense of humor if he's really going to decide for that title.

An entire interview dedicated to the stubborn dick, LOL. I doubt that somebody would make an equally big fuss over here because of such a line. Meat is right about the hypocrisy regarding violence in movies and video games and "explicit" lyrics but the more he talks about the concept of the album, the less sense it makes.

They're all refrigerators, and they just hum.

I like this quote. It perfectly describes one of the major problems we are confronted with these days - not only in the music business.

I doubt very much over here in the UK that a fuss be made of the word Dick in a song. God we have songs that contain a hell of a lot worse ! I find it interesting that Meat mentions True Blood, that is my favourite tv series, it is the most explicit programme i have ever watched ! I am waiting for series 3 to come to the UK !
