Going thru some old concert programmes came across this beautiful verse by the late Wells Kelly

I want to be your friend...
forever and ever
Till the hills and
mountains are flat
And the streams and river run dry
Till it rains and snows in summer
And lightnings and thunders in winter
Till heaven and earth mingle
Not till then shall I part from you

Wells Kelly

Does anybody have any info pre Neverland Express days re Wells Kelly?

This is all I know about Wells Kelly's career prior to him joining Meat:

Drummer Wells Kelly was a founding member in 1972 of American band Orleans. They initially played a mixture of R&B with Cajun roots before eventually becoming a fully fledged rock 'n' roll band.

Their hits included "Dance With Me", "Let There Be Music", "Reach", "Still The One", "Love Takes Time" & "Forever".

The band split up in the early 80s and in 1984 Wells became drummer with The Netherland Express. Tragically he died in London just as Meat's Bad Attitude Tour was about to hit the road. He was replaced by English drummer Andy Wells.

If you look at the picture of Meat and the band on the "Bad Attitude" insert you will see Wells top right.

BTW Orleans later reformed and I believe are still going strong.

Hope this helps Dottie.
