I decided to create this thread, because there are questions about MLUKFC that I'd love to hear answers to. :)) I'm sure there are questions other members have too so this is the perfect thread to do so.

I hope I don't sound to blunt either I don't mean to be

R is the creator and owner of this site and he's from Germany; why did he decide to create a UK fanclub?

Are the rumours true the moderators on this forum get free tickets to a Meat Loaf concert, and free M&G passes too?

How did the moderators get their jobs on this forum, what talents did they have that other people didn't?

If R was to die does that mean MLUKFC would die too, as in be shut down? (sorry about this one but it's an interesting question)

How many people have been permanently banned from this forum?

Has anyone ever met their lover on MLUKFC?

That's it for the moment if someone can take time out to respond to some of these questions I'd be grateful. I think this could develop into an interesting thread.

1. R is a member of the UK Fan Club, back in the day the fan club's online presence was via a Yahoo chatroom, from that the first mlukfc.com site was created and it grew from there.

2. They're complete bollocks.

3. They're carefully selected following a rigorous applicaiton and interview session involving exams and practical exercises conducted in secret in the Scottish Highlands.

4. He's going to live for ever. Rainer has however, been pretty much the single constant in the MLUKFC management team as it's changed over the years.

5. None of your business

6. See five ;-)

Answer 1: was interesting, and it's explains how MLUKFC was founded. :D
Answer 3: I don't believe at all; it sounds like something you would do in the army.
Answer 4: So does someone have this forum in their will?
Answer 5: there isn't anything personal in giving us a figure on who's banned because a figure never hurt anyones feelings ;)
Answer 6: Ah come on sure people would be delighted to hear romance stories on MLUKFC

no but if that's the case i should be renegotiating my contract

Andy and Monstro's exercises involved drinking whisky...mine involved having to avoid making sarcastic statements throughout the training, it was the longest five minutes i've ever experienced.

I think it is worth remembering when people are kicking off and getting themselves infracted/banned/being generally unpopular that the Mods and Admins here are doing this in their own time (and it is a lot of time) and entirely for free...very easy to forget sometimes...

Are the rumours true the moderators on this forum get free tickets to a Meat Loaf concert, and free M&G passes too?

 A front row seat and M&G is alloted to each member of staff at every show.
However Andy R and myself keep that a secret from the rest of the staff and use their M&G's ourselves, going into the M&G room numerous times in various disguises.
So far Meat has met 47239065 mlukfc staff members :bleh:
The front row tickets, we either use the extra seats for merchandise and extra leg/elbow room, or sell them on e bay.

[LIST=1]
How did the moderators get their jobs on this forum, what talents did they have that other people didn't?

I juggled, Andy whistled Mr Bojangles, Sue did some mindreading, Dave put over 100 washing pegs on his face, Michael - unicycle, Mike - origami, Anki tapdanced her way into the staff, and RJ swallowed a shit load of things made out of metal.

If R was to die does that mean MLUKFC would die too, as in be shut down? (sorry about this one but it's an interesting question)

R cannot die as R does not exist in the conventional accepted meaning of the word.
R is actually a gestalt entity (http://reddwarf.wikia.com/wiki/Gestalt_entity).
He is a composite of the forum staff, and of Fred (the Fred explains the weird shit  ).
Fred is an experiment of the R composite and is actually called fRed (the capital R to signify that R is within fred, as fred is a part of the whole that is R).
The fRed paradox is that R is the creator of Fred, but fRed is a part of R, and so technically created himself.
It's a forum version of the chicken and the egg.
It was brought about by R (therefore the whole forum staff) being bored after playing with a pencil and rubber band one rainy Saturday afternoon.

The short answer to the question is that R cannot die unless all the forum staff are wiped out at the same time, and should the forum then promote new staff from the ranks, R would live again.
That said, if the forum staff were to be wiped out and fRed sigma was left, then R would take on the personality of Fred (fRed).
For the Harry Potter fans, think of fRed is Lord Voldermort's final horcrux

How many people have been permanently banned from this forum?

That is actually a rather more bland question than you'd expect.
Most banning have been for spam.
As for the actual details and figures, see Andy's post :p

So all you moderators have met before? But you aren't in the same country!!

Oh and is it true that the moderators have their only special room on this forum too? I'd love to see what the discussions are like in their!!

We have a broom closet (the location of which is top secret) and a lighter, and once a week we have a staff meeting which lasts the time it takes for the lighter to get too hot to hold without burning our fingers.

They deserve a free ticket and a M&G pass for all their work to be fair.

We couldn't do that.
We do what we do to give something back, so if Meat gave us stuff we'd have to do more stuff to give more back, which would incur more thanks and gifts meaning we'd have to give a hell of a lot more back.
That's a whole lot of giving back :panic:
One day Meat will stop doing stuff, then we'll give an extra 5 minutes "back" so that we are completley even.
Then Meat and the staff will face each other, staring at each other out and daring each other to do something that will result in the other doing something to thank the former, and it'll all kick off again.

There have never been mod elections and there never will be.

Not sure what me being a mod somewhere else has to do with here? But to be honest, I never banned someone within the first hour of becoming a mod. I made no bones that I'd ban a certain someone if they ever decided to join, they joined and I kept my promise.

I don't do anything stupid to have people laughing at me. I have a habit of getting a bit excited, but that's from listening to Jim Steinman's songs a lot... either that or it was all the medication I took. ;)

But that someone is a grade A toss pot.

I'm sure R and the moderators think I'm a toss pot too. But it wouldn't be fair to ban me because of it. ;-)

Yet again you mix opinion with fact. They can form a considered opinion on Pudding's inebriation, or even take a wild stab in the dark, but unless they can see Pudding it cannot be taken as fact.

In a jar, on the shelf? Perhaps you could swap with it? Failing that, get someone to remove your actual brain and get a refund. Failing that get someone to swap it with that of a sea-dwelling mammal, because at least then it would be fit for porpoise.

Steve6
11 Sep 2010, 02:41
Easy folks.....easy now. Lets take a little deep breath and reflect on a couple of things. First of all I'm not swapping my brain for a refund, my brain has been through so much it's now classed as damaged goods. It has to stay inside my skull.

I didn't mean to say Pudding was under the influence of alcohol, however I do think drunk posting should be prohibited as it involves mad behaviour, and threads going off topic which is what's happening here. The mods need to go to sleep sometime.

Does anyone have a question about MLUKFC? and not about me exchanging my brain with a sea-dwelling mammal.

You managed pretty well without meaning to then. I don't care for a lot of what Pud posts, but he never brags about drinking, nor do I ever get the impression he's posting whist drunk.

however I do think drunk posting should be prohibited as it involves mad behaviour, and threads going off topic which is what's happening here. The mods need to go to sleep sometime.

So your posting is done whilst sober? Even more worrying!

Does anyone have a question about MLUKFC? and not about me exchanging my brain with a sea-dwelling mammal.

I don't think anyone has raised any questions about the UK forum, which R manages perfectly adequately with his moderator team. You started the thread with some imo preposterous questions, which few could take seriously.

I think you're a being a bit cruel Caryl. If you actually read the first post on the thread it's actually quiet interesting, and you can see why I started it. To be fair we don't really know what goes on behind the scenes on this site, and all I was showing was interest. Obviously I was only expecting questions and answers every once in a while, but the mods have used it as a playground instead  As regards Pudding being drunk...it's only friendly banter. I always post sober!!!! ALWAYS!!! :yep:
