Is meat still considered a Tenor? he seems like a Bass now.

He most certainly isn't a bass. In between tenor and bass comes baritone. There are many variations of each of the voice types though, with varying degrees of weight, timbre etc. Meat was a heldentenor which is a dramatic, loud, heroic-sounding voice, often chosen for heroic parts in opera. Obviously over the years the voice changes, and the vocal cords thicken, creating a more deeper sounding timbre. There are times when Meat sounds like a baritone, most likely a lyric baritone. I'd be interested to hear his vocal coach give his opinions.
