I wasn't impressed with last night's effort, so how about another poll?
My vote goes to the first USA fly-drive one. It was somewhat less contrived and far more amusing.

Just watched it and nowhere near as good as any of the others

Yup, tough choice this one
I voted for the Vietnam one, but I loved the Botswana & North Pole ones

North pole hands down for me. A lot of the others, especially the Vietnam one seemed to have very little to do with cars. How they get away with making that I don't really get. The North Pole seemed to have a purpose, to prove you can drive a car, albeit a modified one, to the North Pole. :))

Maybe, but I don't just see Top Gear as a car show, I also see it as a few blokes being tools together and having fun. I enjoyed the Vietnam one the most on those terms, it made me feel like it was something I'd also have a ball doing. Also, being a special its a bit like a one off, if every episode was like that then I'd be asking the same question, as I also like to get a look at all the cars that I know I will never have a hope in hell of owning. But for me I rather enjoy the odd show dedicated to stupidity. I know a few people that watch Top Gear mostly for the stupid things they do.
Either way, its really the only show I wath religiously.... and we're still getting repeats from seasons 12 & 13!! They showed half of season 15, then showed the Ashes special, and then back to repeats...... stupid Channel 9, I could go on forever about that.

Yeah I agree it's more than just a car show, but I find when they deviate away from the car thing too much like Vietnam I personally just lose interest. A few seasons ago they did some episodes and had the one where they had to make stretched limousines out of all these different cars, a MG, Fiat panda etc. I thought that season in particular was hilarious and my favourite I think and it's been getting a bit boring since in my opinion. :? Crazy car related stuff: good. Just those 3 guys on scooters and other nonsense: meh.
Yeah, but scooters are still Motorised, still motoring ;) but I see where you are coming from. If you could write your own special, what would you have them do?

Ah, interesting. That would make for a better thread I actually think. :D
Maybe they should have been forced to have gone to all the Meat Loaf shows around the country the last few weeks ago (this would have been a great pun considering all the bad talk they gave Meat a few years back) on a road trip. All three trying to get to all the shows in cheap (less than £1000) cars and listening to Meat Loaf non stop. Of course there would have to be further challenges such as trying to get into the shows without tickets, guiding the traffic in and out of the parking lot at one show, transporting one of the band members to a show etc. The snow would have made it particularly interesting!

Nice, would we subject Meat to this, or maybe Paul.... I think Patti would be funny. Oh Reckon they'd have to run one of the entrances too lol

And be support act! ;-)
oh ha ha ha, now that would be great, we'd have James on Key board, Richard on guitar & singing & Jeremy beating the S*** outta the drums. I think he'd enjoy that.

I haven't seen the boxing day special yet but the Africa one I will always love because of Oliver! I wish I could have an Opal Kadet someday

Easy! We did it in a 16 year old Punto!

No that could be entertaining! They reformed the TG band for Top Gear Live a couple of years ago and JC had improved enough on the drums from the ToTP thing they did on TV a while back for it to be fairly musical!

Now that would be interesting, I know he likes his drums, but no idea if he's any good. I always thought he just liked them so he could smash something.
