I always thought a Rock Opera had to have a solid storyline and as much as I love it Bat Out Of Hell doesn't really have a storyline does it? I know the songs themselves do but the album as a whole? I guess each

Aside from that though I don't know a few of the albums on the list but seeing Tommy at number one isn't much of a surprise as it is very good. Surprised that The Wall or Lamb Lies Down On Broadway didn't show up on there and I'm very pleased to see Operation Mindcrime in there too because Mindcrime is incredible.

As for me personally my favourite Rock Operas/Concept Albums would probably be The Wall, Mindcrime, Scenes From A Memory, and pretty much all of the Ayreon project albums :P

I dunno whose idea it was to put The Who. But really when u put aside popularity contests, Jimmy's and Meat's BOOH is a real dramatic as it gets. The music and theatrics are bonkers! :)

Not quite sure what you mean by this, Tommy is one of the most influential rock operas of all time. It does deserves a place on the list.

You've obviously neveer heard the album? Townshend was the king of rock opera aswell as Tommy, Quadrophenia was a masterpiece as was the Lifehouse project which formed part of the Who's Next album.

Also as someone has already pointed out Pink Floyd's The Wall is amazing.

I totally brain farted for a moment, I just learned that Tommy the album with Pinball Wizard on it. Yeah I can see how those 2 would be where they are on that list.
