Hmmmm.....just a thought. According to this article

http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/7066449/espn-hank-williams-jr-theme-song-return-monday-night-football

Hank Williams Jr has been pulled or electively withdrew his Monday Night Football spot. Wonder if a rally of support for Meat could enter him in the contention as a replacement. OR a Meat and Pearl collaboration?!?

Discuss.

That would be very kewl. I remember a college football game on tv (ESPN or CBS, I can't remember which). But during one of their team showcases, they played a lil of Living On The Outside in the background... I think I made more noise over that than the actual football game! LOL

No. I dont wanna see meat performing on anymore sports shows at the moment. Too much controversy and repetitive discussion.

Just my two cents

Ummmm..... Hank Williams Jr had a lot of pressure to quit over his recent poltical statements.

Ummmm..... Meat Loaf has a highly charged political album he is going to try to promote.

2+2 do not add up here kids.

I thought Hank Williams Jnr's comments that caused such controversy were about the present USA administration? That's Political. But Meat's album is about his experiences and his take on the way the world is going, seemingly hell-bent on destruction. Arguably small p political, but not Political or likely to offend surely?

I'd have thought the concerns expressed on the new album were more far more everyman, and could be related to by many, many people, whatever their Political persuasion or beliefs. It speaks to humankind, not aimed party or administration which is what seems to have sparked the issues in the case of Williams, who seems to have a history of making Political statements which will offend certain groups, whereas Meat keeps his Politics very much to himself. I really don't see the connection you're making in this case David to be honest

I agree with Caryl; the issues dealt with on HIAB are more to do with the effects of capitalism, and how it influences (and exploits) every level of society. So it's pretty universal, really.

Meat Loaf with the Monday Night Football theme? Sounds good to me! And the addition of Pearl would be great!

Knowing ESPN I'm betting on a (c)rapper to be next.

It will be a rapper or someone who is young and supposedly hot at the moment like Justin Beiber.

Would be great exposure for Meat but i am not sure how you could go about getting it done.

All so i wonder if meat could put a song forward from HIAHB as a theme tune to nexts years Wrestlemania, big exposure for Meat and the song and great promotion, Meat has recently worked with WWE as well. Live Or Die would be a good wrestlemania theme in my view.

I'm betting ESPN will decide to play to the "young, hip" crowd. Or since it's a large male audience they might go in the direction of a young female in skimpy clothes like Katy Perry.

all Meat needs is for the record company to put out a few tv adds for the new album, look at tony bennett? a few adds and a usa number one:shock:
if people know its out, they will buy it. sometimes you can be too fancy with promo,
