No. Sadly we require people to think before they post. Something some people seem incapable of, despite previous requests.

Wario,

If you mean to block a linked connection from forum/site to twitter, you can delete a networked connection (for the future). You can delete a posted tweet but only on your twitter feed/page, you can't re-wind or delete a tweet once posted. It makes the rounds of twittersphere and may at some point disappear but unlikely. Tweets are permanent. Does that answer your question?

For gods sake people, don't be so nasty to Wario. With all the recent evil nasty comments being made about Meat I would expect you guys to be better. yes he made a small mistake, so what. Like you've never made a mistake on here? So so disappointed in some of you. AndyK, you're meant to be a mod for gods sake, how can you talk like that? Surely you're breaking your own rules about respect?

All I was doing Rob was pointing out that the request wasn't possible (other than blocking a poster from starting any new threads at all, but that's counter-productive) and that I've had exactly the same discussion a number of times before regarding thread titles. Is it any wonder that the mod and Admin team get so frustrated when we have to clear up the same issues caused by the same few people over and over and over again?

And all i'm pointing out, is that everyone is defending Meat from nasty comments while jumping on Wario for a small mistake. And don't think I didn't notice my post removed in the other thread which is a bit god complex like.

Rob, you have expressed your huge concern for what Meat is suffering as a result of the the way crap spreads and gathers momentum on the internet. Dave raised a very good point when Warrio started a thread, apparently without thinking about the possible fuel it could add to the brush fires which are, to use Meat's own words, breaking his heart, and seem to be close to breaking his indomitable spirit at times. That's at the forefront of everyone's mind.

You use the word "jump" as if people were rude rather than sadly disappointed .. to the point of exasperation. You've I'm sure said to Meat, feel free to vent. Allow us the same small and tired privilege.

"Small mistakes" can create major issues. Right now most of us are more concerned about Meat, what he's going through, and his feelings than about those of anyone else.

Andy has pointed out he has had into deal with this before, has had the same discussion about thread titles posted without thought to the consequences. Her's been fair, reasonable and has done what he can to minimise the potential damage done. Nothing of a God complex (which is imo a somewhat sweepingly impertinent comment in my view), and nothing out of order in anything he has posted. I may not always agree with every decision taken by the Moderation team here, but they are not rude, and always act with their proper level of authority, not that of God. And if any of us have any issue with their decisions or the way they post them it is a very clear rule of this forum, and a basic courtesy, to express this via PM, rather than question or criticise on the forum.

Meat has not deserved the incredible abuse he's currently suffering. Warrio has not been abused as far as I saw when I last visited the thread in question. Has his judgement been questioned? Yes. It's not the first time I think, and right now it's at the worst possible time for Meat. Doubtless it wasn't intended to add any fuel to the flames Meat's dealing with, and I think people accepted that and have made that clear. But if there's never any disapproval shown, no disappointment expressed, no questioning of poor judgement, what message does that convey? How will things ever change? We learn through error only when we have the error pointed out. Sometimes the error is repeated, and it is naive to expect it won't be pointed out again.

Thank you Andy for doing what you could to minimise the effect.

Caryl

I just thought it went too far Caryl, and I don't think people would have been as harsh if Meat hadn't been suffering right now. Yes it's bad timing but it could have happened any time.

And as for the god complex statement i'm sorry but i've had quite a few times where my comments have been unfairly removed and it's been unfair to the point that other peoples have been allowed to remain which are more controversial than mine. I wouldn't like to suggest those views were left up because the mods personally agreed with them but that's how it seems sometimes around here. I'm not saying it happens all the time but in my opinion there have been some god complex moments.

For the record, all of your removed posts have been removed for a good reason, which mostly is that you continued to post off topic stuff in threads where we don't tolerate off topic remarks. Like you did in this thread as another example.

Anyway, our site policies are not up for discussion and if you don't like them, you can always open up your own forum and install your own policies.

As Wario's question has been answered this thread is closed now.
