This is a place to post your wonderful memories of the Hang Cool Tour and Guilty Pleasure Tour. Lets give Meat a reason to believe in himself again after what has happened in Australia by recalling the amazing times had by all at his shows, and putting them all in one place.

I'll start it off.

Back in January 2011, Meat did 2 shows in Lincoln Oregon. He gave me my first ever reason to drive off Vancouver Island and into the USA! I drove 12 hours in my little Hyundai, got lost about 5 times, and had a hell of a great time exploring on my own. I will never forget it!

The shows were vocally in top form, Meat and the band performed so brilliantly that everyone walking out of the Casino was talking about how he was better than the last time they saw him, and was so amazing. These were guys and girls in their 20's and 30's.

Then my girlfriend and I went in March to two shows in Vancouver BC. This was a vacation for my girlfriend and I for the first time in years, and we thoroughly enjoyed watching Meat perform at the Red Robinson Show Theatre, ordered room service for the first time and also gambled for the first time! (I broke even!)

We agreed that Meat performed fantastically both nights back to back, and my girlfriend said afterwards that he's really good, and he definitely still has it! She isn't the Meat fan, I am, and she listens to heavy metal and only modern bands, so the fact that she thought he was still great means something to me! I also thought he was breathtaking, and standing there up at the barrier as he sweated and sang all his songs is with no exception the most exciting moment of my life, and I will cherish it forever.

He also showed how much he cares about his fans. For both nights that I was in Oregon, Meat talked with me on the forums, and thanked me for my compliments. A true, humble gentleman and even though I am a stranger, he treated me like a friend. I do not know many other famous performers, who have been around for 40 years, who put that much effort in to please their fans and form relationships with them.

Meat, you are without a shadow of a doubt, an amazing Man, a performer who still has it all, and for this lucky young Canadian, you are someone who inspires me to do great things in my life, but not to follow the money, and to remain humble and grounded no matter what. Thank you for that lesson, and for living it every day, You can be certain that these last few years of excitement, getting to talk with you on the forums and see your shows, is something I will cherish for THE REST of my life, and something I'll tell my grandkids and kids. I hope others will do the same, because you truly do lead by example, and you live by every word you speak.

Rock on 2012 for more EPIC show experiences! Student loan funded ;) ;)

l with my husband went to both his Melbourne concerts Rod Lavar 14th and ADOTG on the 15th. We had such a great time, hubby who isn't as big a fan as l said he rocked and wanted to do an extra concert even offering to take us to Adelaide sadly just couldn't afford too. l heard nothing but great things from people coming out of both concerts saying what a great time they had and how good Meat and the band where. From were l was on floor RL the crowd were really enjoying themselves so much that a few from the back tried to come up closer and security had to take them back. Everyone around me were on there feet and singing along. At the ADOTG was 2 rows back but was a packed crowd at the winery every one there too were having a great time on there feet and singing as well. l for one had such a wonderful time am deeply sadden to think Meat wont come back to Australia 1. because of it being so dry [could avoid that by maybe touring from April onwards. and 2. because of the Australian media who l think should interview some of the fans who actually went to the concerts l'm sure they would get a different story. Sorry got more than l thought. l just hope Meat has a change of heart and does come back to Australia and l would dearly love to see him again.

I went to the Sydney show this tour and thought it was a fantastic concert and had a great time. And I went to a few concerts in the US with the Hang Cool tour and had the best time of my life. Meat has never disappointed me yet. I have been overseas twice to see him and they were all fantastic shows. I have never regretted it. Meat is the most amazing performer there is, no one else puts on a show like he does. There isn't anyone else who even comes close.

I had my first ever Meat Loaf concert experience just a matter of days ago, and the honour of meeting Meat, and tomorrow I'll get another chance to go to a Meat Loaf concert. All memories to be cherished and remembered forever.

Now to save for an overseas trip.......... to see Meat!

The Hang Cool Tour was an absolute blast for me. The first time I saw it was in Hershey, PA which was like the 8th show of the tour. This was the only time I got to see the show with the video screen and all the pyro effects, oh and there was that little thing called a Meet and Greet. It was an honor to meet my favorite artist and despite claiming to be a little ill that evening he came out on that stage and kicked major ass. Also made some new friends along the way in Caryl and Sue K.

Also got to see meet in Orlando, FL a few months later at the Hard Rock Live. Meat played to a sold out crowd that evening in what was a spectactular performance. The crowd was also especially hot which earned encores of Mercury Blues and Why Don't We Do it In the Road. My first time to hear those two songs live, when I saw Meat back in '07 they were doing Gimme Shelter as the encore. 2 days later, myself Caryl and Carole made the 3 hour treck down to Hollywood, FL to see the show yet again. Again great show, but it was a dull casino crowd, but Meat did not let that affect him at all, still giving a stellar performance.

Now, to my favorite of the Hang Cool shows, Norman Oklahoma. This was the next to the last of the Hang Cool shows before they went to Australia. The stage was stripped down because much of the staging was already headed to the other side of the pond. Due to lax security, I was able to stand leaned up against the stage right in front of Paul's foot pedal. Now this was a year to the day since the last time I saw the tour and I can safely say that it got better with age. Meat and the band were absolutely on fire and Dave Luther gave some of the best sax solos that I have ever seen. Meat was also in a jovial mood and playing to the crowd, even going so far as to head into the crowd to make a guy stand up during Took the Words. Crowd was hot and begging for more and Meat gave it with encores. I loved every chance that I had to see this tour and each one of them were uniquely special for a different reason.

Meat Loaf in Newcastle last December. When he first came out, i was screaming like a madman and jumping around, knocking a couple of two pint drinks all over the place. Screaming at Meat, then turning away for a second to say to my mate "I can't believe it, he's right there!" then my mate replied "He was looking right at you and you were turning away to scream in my face". Happy days.

My husband and I saw Meat twice on the HCTB tour - the first time in July, 2010 in Hershey, PA and the second this past April in Lancaster, PA.

The venue in Hershey was huge, and the stage was set with pyros and was simply spectacular.

It was the first time I had seen Meat perform live since 2007, and I was lost. Simply blown away. Despite having seats on the mezzanine (not the best), I was totally mesmerized the entire evening. The band rocked - Meat engaged the audience with his little stories here and there, and always his amazing humor - he is sooo funny! "Fu*k the Boston critic who called him "tired" for sitting on his stool while he sings Two Out of Three". "Tired" never entered the game - Meat rocked for well more than two hours, and sounded simply fabulous throughout the whole show.

I walked out of the arena on air. :D

Impossibly, the second show trumped the first! To begin with, Meat played in a much smaller venue - the American Theater, and our seats couldn't be beat - third row, center. :D We were so close, I could see the sweat sweep down Meat's face as he poured his heart and soul into his music. With his eyes closed much of the time, the man just GAVE and GAVE and GAVE, and none of it was lost on the audience. Everyone was going mad! Meat told security to lighten up, and the stage was flooded. Everyone was dancing and singing....it was absolutely one of the best nights of my life! And, Meat was so happy! It looked like he was having so much fun - he and Paul were grinning at one another throughout much of the show - it was great to watch!

So, that's not all good enough, I ended up with a pick Meat tossed out into the audience that landed under the tip of my right sneaker :cheer:.

And, to end the magical evening, we got to meet the big guy after the show! A small group of us waited outside the building, hoping to see Meat as he exited the building, and while it was a good long wait in the cold, it was so worth it when we saw Meat exit and walk over to our group!

He look exhausted, but he couldn't have been more gracious as he signed autographs and chatted with us about Celebrity Apprentice.

All in all, a night never to be forgotten. Thank you, Meat!! :D
