Bat was shown on the VH-1 highlights aswell, so thanks to whoever reminded me to watch VH-1.
It was worth watching the likes of Busted and Attoic Kitten to see Bat performed though I would have loved to have seen Paul Crook do the motorcycle guitar part, but it got edited out.

When is this airing and what was this for. No pun intended but I believe I'm left in the dark on this on. Did Meat perform "Bat" on VH1 or something of that nature?

it was the highlights of party in the park. n they showed this as one of the highlights as meat performed it at PITP. i think its on agen next weekend tho im not sure.

i read it somewhere, cant remember where tho.

Meat was on great form, and the mikes worked .. but the editing was just about the clumsiest I've ever witnessed .. so sorry, no hats off to C5 from me. If they couldn't do him the courtesy of showing the full performance of BOOH after mucking him around last Sunday (and a performance which Capitol promised, remember) they might at least have managed a more skillful edit imo.

I was asked today "How can you chop BOOH up?"

My reply:
It appears to be easy if you're a philistine, tone deaf, unappreciative of great music and performance .. and of course the key piece of the puzzle .. YOU WORK FOR CHANNEL 5!!!!!!!

at least bat was shown in some form, and it was still pretty long - 7 mins they showed off it. I still dispise channel 5 because of the CHSIB mess up and anything for love going wrong...but bat was good - meats voice came across perfect, he sounded good and put on a hell of a performance, poor edit though.

As for capitals promise Caryl, i never actually heard them say that they were promising an 11 minute broadcast of BOOH, Meat said that he would perform an 11 minute bat for the first time on TV, but he was under the impression that it was all going to be shown live. I think it was Meat who promised an 11 minute Bat airing and not actually PITP themselves. If ive followed it wrong sorry, where did capital promise and advertise the 11 minute BOOH screening other than from what Meat told Chris Tarrent?

I know it was something Meat said .. but it was on their website and I think that implies that they, as sponsor, agree and raises an expectation which is tantamount to an implict promise. I read it on the Channel 5 site - my brother gave me the URL from something he was reading - and it DEFINITELY said Meat was going to do "Bat out of Hell", 11 minutes long, QUOTE "A first for British Television"!!!!

So it WAS promised and I for one emailed Channel 5 to complain. Missed it though on the highlights! Dammed annoyed - hope it comes on again Sat or Sun.

Apparently Bat was shown on the VH1 programme on Sunday, the exact same show is repeated another 3 or 4 times - see earlier in this topic for the times.
