Would there be any interest in this? If there's enough interest then we might be able to get something sorted...

The only album that would make (commercial) sense to re-issue on vinyl would, imo, be Bat II. It's a classic album, the original versions are hard to come by, and apart from a very obscure African pressing the sound quality is terrible.

I'm absolutely not interested in another reissue of Bat. And while some fans would love reissues of Dead Ringer, Welcome to the Neighborhood and CHSIB, but I can't see those selling enough units to be worth the effort.

Vinyl? Unless the packaging was super pretty - not interested. If audio cannot easily get on my iPhone/iPod app, not interested anymore. Digital is way more portable and economical nowadays.

hard to beat a 180g vinyl for audio quality :D and the artwork and special additions could be wonderful... a true collectors item

:twisted: Flood the market with vinyl copies of CHSIB, i'll have one :mrgreen:

Apart from that (and VBO, which was never released as a vinyl) i've got them all.

Personally I'd rather buy re-issues on vinyl than any other format, I think the Meat Loaf album covers lend themselves to being printed on bigger surfaces so I'd always go for vinyl because they're lovely pieces just to "have".

The other appeal with re-issues on vinyl is that because I became a fan when Bat II came out, all of my vinyls from Stoney & Meat Loaf until 1993 are second hand (apart from my fabulous limited edition Simply Vinyl copy of Bat whic is immaculate!) Bat II onwards I've managed to get hold of brand new copies but it would be nice from a collectors point of view to have new copies of the older stuff. :up:

Note - if you arrange for re-issues of CHSIB there will be hell to pay! Keep it rare please ;) :))

I think CHSIB would sell a few as it is so rare, and a lot of fans would like to have a copy. Bat 2, Bat 3, Dead Ringer and Bad Attitude, WTTN, all these because of the large artwork looks good. :D

Ah, yes, I forgot about that one. The problem with it, though, is that you'd need at least three LPs to put all tracks on it, which would make it quite expensive.

Bat III already is on vinyl, or do you mean a re-issue?

reissue and/or an original that's being sold for cheap.

Have to say that I haven't listened to the actual album in ages but i have the other two on vinyl so may as well complete the collection

Twice. The black vinyl UK version and the red vinyl US version if I'm not mistaken.

You are not mistaken! Christmas 2006 I thought Andy had bought me a duplicate of the black vinyl...spent ages prentending to love it (even though I already had it) until I opened it and saw the discs were red :lol:

any plans for 200g reissues?

200g = approx 1/2lb

it's a shame vinyls aren't weighed imperially. it would be great to walk into the record shop and ask for " half a pound of Meat please"
