What the hell is this???
I want to put a message in the CHSIB promo topic... and there must be a special member thing orso to post??? Is this discrimination or what??? I want to post R. and i want to post there...... Let that be clear!!!

You misunderstood, Tim. The promo board is there to create a space where David and Caryl could join forces for their promo-actions, instead of having the info on 2 or more different websites. If you want to post there, just send a PM to R. and he'll give you posting-rights.
Mmm, but why??? i don't understand that.... what has it to do with this forum then....??? Why this way... why a CarylB topic??? i mean... what has she gots (besides breasts.... i hope) that i don't have????
I tried to find the topic where this idea was born, sorry, couldn't find it.
It's not a CarylB topic... I'll try to explain once more. You know both David and Caryl are putting much effort in promoting Meat, you know, trying to get attention, get Meat some attention and airplay. They were both doing that seperately. Nou they're doing it together so they needed a place where they can exchange info and stuff. So R. created a special board. What better place for it than mlukfc, where fans from all over the world come together and where Meat himself is reading posts...
The ones not involved in promo-activity can read everything too, and if you wish to post there, you just PM R. Simple as that. I asked posting-permission because I want to do some promo myself, with the other Dutchies, once BOY is released..
This is sick... don't they have any email adresses or a phone??? Is the USA spending all their money on there stupid president???
Let them doing those things themselves.... i mean.... now i can only read, not react... i get irritated by that... thank god that i could shut my mouth and say nothing strange...

By the way, Guppie, what do you mean by "boy released" and the promoting from Meat Loaf???

Well, actually, I thought it was great that MOTS and ROL joined forces on this one... but that's my opinion. Better to work with each other than against each other I say...
What I meant: When Because of You is released in the Netherlands, I want it to get far more attention than CHSIB got. I want it to be a hit. And when the time comes, I'll ask the dutchies (and all others that want to help) to start mailing the mayor radio-stations.
business-carts like you did in Amsterdam is a good idea, but you'll have to do it exactly like you did there: give them before people enter. I tried to promote Meat at Arrow Rock, but was stopped at the gate and had to give all my flyers to them. Wasn't allowed... Mojo wouldn't have it. So that failed. And when the concert is in Ahoy, Mojo will still be there watching, so be sure to do it the same way you did in Amsterdam. Good luck!

Just wanting to point out that the CHSIB Promo Frum was set up by Rainer not just for David and myself. It was set up for EVERYBODY involved in wanting to promote CHSIB in the USA and elsewhere. MB has contributed many ideas, so has Shane
This separate forum with Read Only access for all, and posting access restricted to those who asked Rainer was, as I understand it, set up to keep all information on promotional activities:
In one place
Quickly and easily accessible
Clean rather than drifiting into discussion or arguments (Anyone can get access to post by sending a pm to R, but he alone will moderaste the forum, and will make sure threads don't degenerate into chat or argument)
And would keep all the threads highly visible without needing to make them sticky
This was one reason why back in April I started the sticky Things You Can Do thread for the UK promotion with a plea at the top to keep it to actions rather than chat .. and even that wandered into discussion at which point good ideas can be lost to those who don't have the time or patience to wade through entire and lengthy threads .. For eg Tim, all the discussion leading up to Rainer's suggestion, people's agreement and his action is in the CHIB USA PROMO PUSH thread, but it's a long thread now and needs time to locate ideas and suggestions .. you couldn't find find it
It also has the function of listing participating websites with promotional information once. When any of us add something now we need only say which site it's on. Because the urls for all the sites are listed by Rainer we don't need to post any again and hopefully this will avoid any comments suggesting people are using this board to promote their site, because those involved simply want to help people promote Meat's single and album.
My only concern is that we still don't have a thread where everybody can come in and share experiences without first registering, because I do think that the ability to pop on and chatter excitedly somewhere is helpful and gets and keeps people motivated. The success stories which were posted during the UK campaign played, I believe, a large part in getting and keeping people involved.
As to what I have in addition to breasts .. ideas, promotional materials, data to support people's promotional activity .. oh .. and people generally think I have balls as well :)) .. although mine are metaphorical whereas I trust yours are genuine :)

Hopefully I've answered this to an extent. My email address is listed on my profile. Not quite sure what you mean in your second sentance, but ROL is a joint UK/USA site, and the only President I spend my money on is ROL's President Meat Loaf :)

Of course, as I've said, I'm always happy to work with/link to anybody/any site/any company that is promoting Meat's single/album. We linked to Jen's email card last time, and are doing so again; we hosted the Mercury Survey. I have never spoken out against anybody's or any site's promotional activities. And I have always accompanied any concerns I have about any suggested promotional activity with a constructive suggestion on how to make the activity work.

The topic was always open to all, however by request. The idea behind that being to not have to wade through loads of repeat posts or conversations.
There was a lot of discussion before this was done and opinions sought from all forum users.
I'm sure you can see the logic and reasoning behind this.

Hahhaa, you're clearly expressed yourself CarylB.... no offence by any of the things i said... but i was just curious, and i found it rather strange that a only read part was on this forum. So that is why i asked my question. I know i'm not tactfull, and i also know that i'm a bit rude sometimes... but i do understand it now.
