I think this may be the new company Meat said he'd be moving to .. remember last year he said he'd been in San Francisco talking with a company about setting up a new platform? This is Artistarena. Nice look, and will be great to see what else develops :)

I've had mail shots from Fanfire ..and Fanfire seem to continue the packages and merchandising. The link on the new page to sign up takes you to a Packages page (Fanfire) and there's no link to sign up for a newsletter anyway, just a link to contact Fanfire about a package you might have bought

That made me laugh because for an official site it is very disappointing. I notice news in various locations on the net before it appears there and there is little other content to keep fans coming back.

They could at least update it a little.

Almost bought me a VIP package for the 2011 Hang Cool Tour

An artist's website should attract fans as well non-fans / future fans in a way so that they visit it on a regular basis and keep them curious and interested. Some creative person with a good sense for design, marketing and communication should put some passion and fresh ideas in it.

I totally agree with you.

I get the feeling from looking at the site that the site providers weren't all that interested in making the site the best it could be.

It seems that way.
They still need to update the Discography and About Me sections with info about Hell in a Handbasket.
