Is it possible to know the total minutes we have actually spent on the site since joining?
For the more senior members that could be one large figure.:-)

And also vastly misleading if one simply leaves the window open as I do on most of the sites I visit regularly during the day ;)

Are you afraid of the truth?:lol:

I couldn't give a stuff  .. but if you want the statistics for some strange reason, you need to know what you could be getting. If you want to think that being hooked up means someone's avidly reading what you write for all that time, fine .. but it's a flawed assumption ;)

Steady on! It was out of pure curiosity. I was just wondering what the figure might be. That's all. There is nothing sinister or strange in that.
As for thinking someone is avidly reading my posts. I read everyone's posts and I guess most people read mine just because they are there.
What about a top 40 chart based on posts? That would be good to see, where everybody ranks

You can see that already via the user list if you order it on posts made... and getting to the top five shouldn't be taken as a challenge to post whore.
Nope, sorry.
It'd be not accurate enough (see Caryl's post) and I don't have any intention to track the behaviour of my users. Register a Google account, if you want that. :lawl:

Why not, we're tracking you! :))
Like Caryl, I leave webpages open while I'm working, so given I joined MLUKFC aged 12 any time count would probably show that I'd spent my entire adult life on here!

Web sites have no idea how long you keep the window open. All they know about are page loads/reloads.

I've been known to have the site open on more than one PC and on my iPhone, so it's entirely possible that I've been on this site for more time than I've been on this site !!!

By showing who's loaded a page in the last n minutes.

Because the "n" above would have to be a guess.
With a few exceptions (and hopefully R won't be along in a minute to say that this is one of them) when you load a web page your browser connects to the site, loads the text and pictures, then disconnects. Once that disconnect happens the site knows nothing of what you're doing. You can unplug the internet and read the page all day, and the site server will be blissfully unaware.
Exceptions would be things like youtube whilst you're watching a video, because the data is being streamed continuously, or "live" sites like say a google map showing the location of your latitude friends, where there's a brief flurry of updated information every few seconds.

So There !!!
Honestly, this is not a playground ...
Ahh .. hello Paul ;)
Actually I disagree with you. There are plenty of games played here! It needs playground monitors in place to watch and step in .. and I think people do come here to relax, chat, play and have fun, celebrate, share, get excited .. as well as discuss the sound 35 secs in to this or that track
So we'll have to simply agree that we are fundamentally very different in our views on so many things ;)

Yes, but ... we do have an exception here and this the shoutbox.

The one I thought of was the chat room.

I'm sure you're the only one to think of the chatroom in quite some time. :bleh:
im pretty sure for me it would say "get a life" if it were to calculate my time here..... :))
OMG im in the top 20!
Oh yeah, that too. :bleh:

So that's at least one thing we can agree on, hopefully the first of none ... My point was actually ironic, you acted like this WAS a playground, and I agree that it probably (unfortunately) is. So, b u g g e r, that's two things in as many minutes ...

 BTW while people are wondering how many minutes of their lives they've spent on this forum, I think it's important to remind you all that we don't do refunds :bleh: :p
