Excuse me if this has been posted before. I like to start a thread by asking if you could see Meat Loaf duet with somebody; whom would it be? This includes artists who has sang with him before. Listening to Stand In The Storm... the one that immediately comes to mind is Trace Adkins. I've never heard his singing until I bought the new Meat Loaf CD. They sound real good together.

Imelda May. :D

I think she's got an interesting voice. I've seen the YouTube when she joined him on stage at Wembley and they sounded great together.

I know I read somewhere that she was supposed to be on the Christmas album so I'm really looking forward to the thought of that.

a duet i would love to have seen, would have been mr loaf doing his thing on vocals and performance, and mr steinman doining his thing on piano... i've no idea what song i'd have loved to see the above on though

(it didn't have to be a singer did it?)

I don't know if any one of you know Sharon Den Adel, she is a singer of a rockband from the Netherlands named Within Temptation... She's got an incredible voice. Sharon singing with Meat... That is in my mind for a long time...I think that would be awesome !!

Or... Adele, she would be fantastic in a duet with Meat too...

Would love to see that happen actually...

Surf's Up

its my favourite song, and i hadn't even considered it for just piano and voice, but on your suggestion above (like everyone i'm easily influenced) i've had a relisten to the bad for good version... and ya know what, that might just be bloody EPIC!!!

A new British artist called Ed Sheeran. His lyrics and the kind of lyrics Meat sings are very similar.

Chrissie Hynde

Isn't she a vegetarian? :)) I'd like to see/hear him do a duet with Melissa Etheridge but a collaboration with Chrissie Hynde would be interesting, too.

It's not a massively long segment of them together but I still loved it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JW4eJXfZ3nU

I think he and Patti are perfect together. Their voices harmonize perfectly. He mentioned singing a duet with Garth Brooks on his holiday album, so that would be great to hear.

His duets with Patti are always my favorites, so I would pick her. Many of the guest duets, I haven't cared for, so I prefer just Meat without guests.

Sorry to be predictable, Bonnie Tyler.

Agreed. I wish that they would have done a duet at some point.

I don't really count AKIATTTW. She was more BR vocals.

That's a valid point. Many solo artists don't know how to sing good duets. Jennifer Hudson is a great soloist but it sounds like she is shouting over Meat in The Future.

I appreciate the way Meat and Patti's voices perfectly compliment each other.

Yes, she is a vegetarian, but I still ;)

PS. She did a fantastic duet with Rod Stewart (DVD from Royal Albert Hall).
