The Jameson company does spell it whiskEY. However it can be written either way. whisky, with no E, is the usual Scottish spelling. I do know my whisky/whiskey! Which ever way you spell it, I love drinking it. LOL

Maybe this is just a cultural thing, but I don't find asking for ice in your water to be unusual at all.
And don't drink cider. It's unusual for people to drink cider in Canada... even more unusual to put ice in any beer.
Than again, in the UK they apparently prefer beer warm...
.... And they STILL have a Queen?

It's like I always say, when folks crow on about England winning the world cup in 1966, I think rather than point out we once won it, I think it points out that we ain't won it since.
Sort of like a greasy chip shop that's got a peeling and fading sign on the wall saying they won "Best local fish, as chosen by Chorley council in 1997".

From the website: http://cocktails.about.com/od/tequilarecipes/r/paloma_tequila.htm
For a refreshing, thirst quenching tequila cocktail, the Paloma is definitely at the top of the list and it's a favorite in Mexico.... It's a light, fruity drink with a fizz and one of the smoothest tequila drinks out there. Almost any blanco tequila works well in combination with the grapefruit and you may also see this cocktail with grapefruit juice and a splash of soda instead of a grapefruit soda like Squirt.
Ingredients:
•2 oz blanco or reposado tequila
•6 oz fresh grapefruit soda
•1/2 oz lime juice
•salt for rimming (optional)
Preparation:
1.Rim a collins glass with salt.
2.Fill the glass with ice and add the tequila and lime juice.
3.Top it off with grapefruit soda.
Thank you to Karen who discovered and posted about this awesome drink first

I'm involved in top secret research for a government project.
We put people in unpleasant situations and see how they react.
The two favourites tests are leaving the thirsty customer waiting at the bar for a drink for prolonged periods.
And...........
We also have secret cameras above the checkout in every supermarket.
The carrier bags were designed to be extremely difficult to open and we observe the unwitting test subject try to open the ~~~~~~.
We got the idea from watching rats running around a special designed maze.
No scientific reason for the rats in the maze, it's just funny after a few beers to watch them run around and bump into stuff :hic:
I'll have one or five of each thanks
I'll have to do them one at a time.
This is stuff is pretty unstable and I don't like having too much in one place at one time.
Have you ever heard of the country Landtopiasteinia? (they could never decide how to end the name of the country so just threw a few together and called it good)
No?
Nor has anyone else since, at a bubblewrap salesman convention, the three main bubblewrap sales directors of the "ia" area of the country ordered a Moonshine each (The Bat & Belfry got to run the beer tent with a little help from the government in return for our help in carrier bad stress tests. Plus the President owed me a couple of hundred quidbuckeurofracs when Lars, his pick of the day, was last rat out of the maze) from the barman I sent over there for the occassion.
Why he served those drinks all at once will never be know. Maybe he was brave, uncarring, foolhardy, stupid, or just downright suicidal, but the country was erased from the map with a cry of "cheerproskolslangostrovia" and the clinking of three glasses
Well as an answer, it makes a change from "here you go"

Yeah, I know... house break in a couple of months back. I was told the CD's and DVD's survived. They didn't. Now to battle the insurance company and hope they amend the claim.
Any chance of including a goldfish in the next glass? Actually, you know what'd be cool? Pint glasses with a two layers of glass, with water in between, filled with guppies.

I hope they are listening to your Bat Out Of Hell CD in the car, and in makes them go a wee bit too fast for safety and wrap they themselves round a lamp post.

Or a glass with an extra thick base so it has room for a goldfish. That could be fun.
