And so they should, Evil...
I'm not arguing any different, but for the fact that the blue really hurts the eyes, and on the purple background the words seem to blur and make it extremely difficult to read and understand.
Perhaps if i screw me eyes up quite tight and look to the left a tad, i might see the blue words a bit easier... 8O

Evil nickname, I like to read everyone's posts and yes, anyone can write in ANY CLOUR they want! BUT I am an old BAT and my eyes are not too good and I am also a very busy BAT (I run a small care home) so my time is limited - that's why I only appear on these boards now and again and why I miss lots of Meat's performances on TV! If I have to highlight posts it takes TIME and I am sure we all like our posts to be read....

This reply made just check all the different board styles available. I'm typing this in a STDsubSilver layout - white and gray it appears to be, while on a tab (Mozilla!) I have a the standard/default(?) subSilver look (which I like the best) and a plain horrible purple/pink (subPink) one on another.
First off, I didn't realize you could change the board look before I posted my initial reply. I knew it was possible, but I hadn't checked it out so I didn't know there were such visual crimes as the pink/purple and starry/spaced out interface.
People who design such pieces of worthless graphical user interfaces should be punished. People who use said interfaces too, if you ask me.
Blue on purple is, from a design point of view, a complete no-no. And personally, I find the purple background a bigger offence to my eyes than the blue. On my grey background, it is clearly readable. That's why I made my first reply, cause I could absolutely not see what Heather ment.
So to conclude: a question.
If you choose to use a purple interface for the forum, and someone else chooses to post in blue, whose problem is it really?
Nothing personal or so, but I just felt like butting in ;-) <- and that's a big wink to all of you! :)

AAAAHHHAAA!
I did not realise you could have a different colour interface! I can't seem to find how to do a lot of things!
I have a great pic of Meat I took at Leeds lst year - I'd like it as my Avatar and I have read as much as I can but can't make head nor tail of it all!
Me need computer lessons!
Heather.

moshachic - I was polite when I asked you not to write in blue, as on my dark blue/purple screen I can't read what you write! Heat agreed with me as was evident by what she wrote!
No one was having a go at you - it takes TIME to highlight what you wrote to be able to read it! I am annoyed at your reply - I certainly am NOT bored - I don't get time to be bored - I run a business and care for 3 men with Learning Difficulties who have lived with my husband and me for 14 years, so my time is very precious to me.
I won't bother reading your posts any more if they are written in blue.
Heather.
soz i didn't mean to be rude im just havin a relli bad day woke up on the wrong side of the bed, u know! so what do u suggest i write in then how about dark blue or black!
Hmmm - the standard (default) color? Perhaps? 8)
yeah but no offence but its kinda boring :?

moshachic - did not have a brill day myself! Loaned someone a serious amount of money, she repaid 4 instalments and I am now responsible for the other 20 instalments to the Bank! Can't get any more money off her - its a long story.
Coming to the Board is a bit of light relief - with Meat playing in the background of course! Takes my mind off things.
moshachic - you are forgiven - we all have bad days! R Plumber is right - easy to read! I noticed that you bolded your white writing - different! My background is dark blue, I can read white well and bolded white very well - its what you say that matters, not how you say it!
BTW - Who are you Clint Eastwood - R Plumber? Seen a few posts by you and you seem to carry some weight!
Heather. WHO IS NOW A JUNIOR LOAFER!!!
R is the heavy weight off the site, LOL
He keeps the plumbing sounds, that's why he is the plumber.
(Actually he's the site's mod!)
