I was wondering does anyone know the background to "Forever Young"? It sounds like an Irish Blessing and I was wondering does it have anything to do with that? 8O

Forever Young was written by Bob Dylan. The first release was on his album Planet Waves in 1974. I don't know if it is anything to do with an Irish blessing perhaps someone else can add a bit of info to this.

Well, if anything, it's Jewish, as far as I know Dylan is Jewish anyway.

I don't think it has anything to do with Ireland at all.

Why don't you take your question in the TT&BH topic?

And yes, Bob Dylan is Jewish and if you look the musicans and composers you will see lots are Jewish. For example: Jim Steinman, Bernstein, Gershwin, A. L. Webber, Sylvester Levay, Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Gary Moore, Brian May, Slash and many more...
