This is a much better performance and vocal than the official Guilty Pleasures DVD release (imo). Meat's vocals here are really good. Discuss?

Great clip! Got to say though, the version of BOOH on the Guilty Pleasures CD is my favourite - the only version I think tops it is the MSO version but given that was done with the orchestra it's not really comparable.

Awesome - could you also add an extra 's' to the word 'discus'... I was in a rush, man.

I was in that Newcastle crowd in 2010, after being persuaded to go after the previous Newcastle concert. The performance was as good as I remembered it. You can hear the crowd singing along like crazy. Don't know why its 'vocals post 2006 - discuss' ... ? But this is an even more awesome performance from 1996.

I was pretty rushed otherwise I probably would've elaborated on that. I wanted to comment on this stage of Meat's career, which is I guess pretty much everything post Bat III.

Lucy - for some reason I'm just not that into the Guilty Pleasures version, but the version from 2010, for me at least, seems like a natural progression of the 1993 voice. It's that voice plus 15 years or so. And to me, apart from the last three lines, I really like it. If there's a zone he's definitely in it there.

Mr Richardson - I actually never really liked that 1996 show. Meat's voice sounds quite tired and strained, you can hear a lot of breaking in there. Not one of his strongest (imo).

Absolutely brilliant clip - reminds me me of when we saw him in Liverpool in 2006. It was a brilliant show, maybe a bit biased as it was the 1st time we saw him perform live. However, we weren`t disappointed.

Can`t wait for Birmingham, only 2 months to go :)

For some reason Bat always seem to go right for Meat. Even in the concerts where he doesn't feel well, Bat seems to stand out all the times.

I find it hard to pick a favourite. My all time favorite might be the Wembley 87 version. Post Bat3 I must say I listened to the 2010 Mohegan Sun concert a lot and I really like that live version. Also heared a few UK 2010 versions which I liked.

For me, every single element of the Guilty Pleasures BOOH is right - vocals, harmonies, band (with violin), tempo...it's just spot on, it's such an energetic performance and I think this recording really captures it. Love it!

its an amazingly strong performance....I wish Meat could have waited for this last at Bat tour....I know he said the dates are too soon, which seems like 2008 all over again (but then again, maybe it'll be just fine). I just wish him the best, and I mean, he should be touring when he wants to at this age, when he's rested and ready, and HCTB was exactly that - which is why I think we saw so many fantastic bootlegs of that year alone!

:O I remember that drunk sin of 'Hang Cool' tour. Next to the red hanky on the mic, that was one of the first few things I noticed at Charlottetown concert!

Meat always nails "Bat". I wish the DVD had been recorded during the Hang Cool Tour but it is what it is. Meat had vocal issues beyond his control in Sydney and still went on like a trooper. I do think the company recording the video could have done better shall we say. I hope Meat gets rested up and does another DVD, it would be a shame not to have the probable last tour recorded for the sheer historical value.

One of the best moves made in recent years was to put Bat as the third song in the setlist. I was very unsure about it as we're so used to Bat being the big finale, but I think it was a stroke of genius to move it to the beginning. It's full of energy anyway but to have Meat perform it when he literally has more energy was a great move

It certainly was a fresh approach!

This video is awesome. The Hang Cool UK tour and the Mad, Mad World tours would have made such awesome dvds. I'm hoping for a dvd of the tour this spring.

I love that it's been moved up in the setlist and I especially love Patti's Scream
