Hi Folks!
I'm finally back on the MLUKFC after a rather lengthy absence...hello to all my old friends who still remember me...
Question: does anyone know when ML's new cd will be released in Australia? I can't find out much from this end and it's driving me insane! If it wasn't for a friend in Belgium who's sent me some video of ML's promo tour of Germany I wouldn't even have any idea of him singing the stuff live!
Any help gratefully received...

Hi M :))
Check this topic (http://www.mlukfc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1610&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=) for a message from a guy called Fire Ball. 8)
Hi Aus loaf!
When you've taken a look at that post of Fireball's that R told you about, could you tell me if you have any idea about the `rugby finals' on 2nd October that it mentions? I know it's not the rugby world cup. I can't find any rugby event for that date. Do you know or could find out?

Hey Shane,
The Rugby Final they're talking about is Australian Rugby League I expect - I don't follow the 'footie' but it's a real big deal here. They often get o/s acts to do half time entertainment etc. And thanks for the link - at least I know when Meat is *finally* coming to Australia now! I couldn't get any firm info from the record company thru my local store - they had no idea. 8O
And "Hi Back Feleena!" - you haven't emailed me for ages - and I'm sure it's your turn...

and the first australian show of the World Tour is going to be some sort of TV spectacular according to meat... it being broadcasted over the world!
Didn't he say something more like "available to the world"? .. I thought this might suggest what everyone's been clamouring for .. a video/DVD of a live concert performance

I took from that the idea of a PPV and most likely a DVD too. This isnt going to be your average concert by what meats said - a surprise?
Thanks Chris .. "filmed for the world" .. that was the phrase :) And from that I took, or at least hoped I could take, the suggestion of a video/DVD.
I have no problem with a PPV as well, but this on it's own would hardly be "for the world" in a people sense as opposed to a geographical sense, given how many people in the world will not have access to PPV. And a video/DVD makes better commercial sense imo, as if it were restricted to TV and PPV, hundreds of thousands of fans would eventually acquire a copy from someone who happened to have PPV and a VCR?DVD recorder, rather than eagerly purchasing their own original copy :)
Just wondering if anyone knows if Meat will be playing a concert in Perth, W.A. at all?
I know he usually does Sydney and Melborne and the like, but my brother is a Meat fan too and he's wondering if he's gonna come to Perth.

No, I don't think anyone (except Meat?) knows about specific dates for concerts in Australia, but you should read his post regarding activities in Australia:
I will be in Australia on Oct 1st, Doing half time at the Rugby finals on the 2nd.... then press radio and Tv until the 10th (the tour tickets will go on sale at that time, There is a special show for TV (a live concert ) but different < a suprise> it will be filmed for the world as well,it Will be the first show of the tour in Australia end of FEB or Beginning of March), then going to NZ oct 11 for a day of promo in Auckland (we will play NZ as well) and Japan. Then back to the US for Leno then UK for a Top of the POPS special we are filming Oct 20th or 21st an ML top of the pops special. Then Germany and the Tour starts.
If you find anything other details regarding Australian (or NZ) concerts or promo activities from media in Australia, could you post it on the forum?

Hey Shane,
I'll be keeping an eye out for any announcements regarding his trip to Oz - I'll also pester my very friendly record store for details too - they're quite good at tracking down info. As soon as I have anything new, I'll post it here, ok? (cause I want to know too!)

Marianne :D
PS Can't believe he's finally coming to Oz - he hasn't been here since '96!!!
