 There's just been a question on the UK quiz show, The Chaser.

Which rock song begins with the line "The sirens are screaming and the fires are howling way down in the valley tonight"?

A - Born To Be Wild.
B - The Final Countdown.
C - Bat Out Of Hell.

She went with Born To Be Wild
The Chaser got the question right :metal:

She's just been knocked out, and she bloody well deserves it for that

I always remember a radio phone in quiz many years ago. One of those answer 10 questions in a minute types.
The question, "Who has just released their latest album, The Very Best of Meat Loaf?"
The answer, "Um, Rod Stewart?"

Now you see why those raffles on pay-lines (thinly disguised as "contests" on TV for legal reasons, but which flout any basic interpretation of law), have questions like:

Which is the currency used in the USA?
a) The dollar
b) Beetroot crisps
c) A semi-detached house

If you can't answer them you won't be able to use the phone line with your non-opposable thumbed hand!

lol...I won £50 a few years ago on one of those tv shows....it was where they had a category like "Summer-themed songs" and there were maybe 12 answers that were covered up and you had to dial in and guess the answers OR you could play online where they would call you back for free and then you could guess. It was actually kind of fun. :)

Who can forget the classic in that awful Family Fortunes that had Bob Monkhouse in fits years ago ..

Name something you'd take to the beach

A turkey

The old guy gave the same answer to the next three questions .. the final one was "Name something you'd eat for a special occasion" and he finally got a few points!
