Yikes. I'm not sure I can "enjoy" that. It seems to trivialise a real event slightly to me, ie there wasn't much rock and roll about what was going on there I think. I think the song is a bit too upbeat and making the poignancy of Spielberg's film into a music video is rather ambitious. I don't think anyone could do that right in my eyes with any song really. I'd perhaps be a bit careful how you "promote" this.

But anyhow. I want to say well done. Editing is fantastic regardless of my own personal take on WW2 and the music. I think you should get a job as editor in film or TV. Your skills are pretty shit hot for that. It's a discipline I used to find very interesting at your age as well. I got pretty far editing Monster is Loose to Dawn of the dead (the original) but never finished it.

Ya, my friend said the same thing that it was too upbeat for the movie. I think you're right, which is why this was a pain in the ass. I debated over this, a few good men, or the Pacific. I dont think it trivializes anything. But I can see where that thought would come from. In hindsight a vietnam movie wouldve been better if WW2 is so sensitive still.

Thanks, thats actually what Im going to school for. When i made my monster's loose video, Dawn of the dead I didnt even think of. Thatd be interesting. Wish you finished that. What I ended Up doing was a video to my favorite movie King Kong (Which I still think to this day the song is about)
