Hi Folks,

I need some help pricing my jacket for the home insurance. I got it in 1987 from a guy called Penn, who used to work for the music companies as PR. He said he got it of Meat Loaf himself and its an original tour jacket. I haven't been able to prove any of this. Although I do know Penn worked for EMi at around the time that Meat Loaf came to England. It is in mint condition, only ever worn once, then store in a bag for the last 26 years.

Below are some photos to help...

As for value....................with no providence or history of when/where/tour it's from afraid in my opinion it's not a big number. There's other jackets that collectors go for that go for a few quid, for example the leather Bat 2 one, but that has a value because it's known how many were made and when/why.

What may help is trying to find some history, asking if anyone knows what year/tour it's from, searching for pics from that era with someone wearing one similar etc. Other than that put it on ebay, it's worth whatever the winner pays for it.

Hi Rattz
I have one of the jackets. I bought in the 80's for a few hundred pounds from a guy who was one of three DJ's who helped to promote Meat & Jim -- BOH in 1997/8. His name was Ian Scott and his name is on the front of the jacket in gold letters.
Also I remember that Steve Buslowe had one of these jackets which had his name on it.
I maybe selling mine in the near future if anyone is interested :(
Hope this is of some help to you Tim?

Susan
