Ive always wanted to know what this verse means:

Some days I don't come easy.
Some days I don't come hard.
Some days i don't come at all.
These are the days that never end.

Is this verse about ejaculation? If it is.... why was this line not censored but "drugs" was.

It wasn't censored. The line is "Sex and Drums and Rock N Roll". Why would Jim write about drugs? He's never struck me as that guy.

IJWQ was 'cheaper than spit'.

You can take those lyrics several ways. Indeed it could be about that. Must have been written before they met Dana Patrick if that were the case!

You can also read it as he does not come across easy or hard, or at all. Ie. he is sometimes not difficult, sometimes not easy going, sometimes he is absent.

A lot of Steinman lyrics have double standard meanings and are sexual indeed. I prefer lyrics that way.
"Can't you see my faded Levi's bursting apart?" Some people prefer I can barely fit my dick in my pants. That wasn't censored either was it?!

As most lyrics in Steinman's world (in my opinion) are kind of clever but not really crude/bad language in this way they don't ever need to be censored. "Someone's gotta draw first blood." "There's no such thing as Safe Sex when it comes to loving you."
Interestingly Steinman recently posted that a lot in Pandora's Box is indeed Aids related since it was such a big issue when it was written and released.

The genius of Steinman is that he can write about so many things and rarely be overtly explicit. It is like the difference between a comic who just yells profanity and goes for the cheap lines versus one who does clever innuendo that makes you laugh when you catch the meaning.

I remember the first time I heard "Speaking in Tongues". I hope this is not a SPOILER so

POTENTIAL SPOILER ALERT

The title was clever enough but the line about a "fire" and "you've got sparks, I've got wood" was absolutely clever as could be.

Jim writes about "faded levis" other guys write "I can barely fit my.... in my pants". I know which one I consider to be the better. Almost anyone could have written that other song. That line, "I wanna smash your face". No comparison.

Even on spoken word Jim is clever - the guitar "rung (wrung) out beautifully".

Jim is a genius.

I've never heard this before.

I know that "Getting So Excited" from 'Faster Than The Speed Of Night' had the one off lyrics "I would do anything for love... but I won't do that." She thought it was dumb, but it appeared on the track anyway.

It's interesting if you look at the title in that context, "Getting so excited" I mean, because then you really do wonder what "That" is, whereas Jim's song explains it.

By the way, the lines are:

Some days it don't come easy
Some days it don't come hard
Some days it don't come at all
And these are the days that never end

Okay, do you have a link to this?

I find that as dubious as ML claiming he was offered TEOTH and MLOONAA.

I don't think that either ML or Bonnie Tyler has ever 'rejected' a Steinman song.
