Rank your top 10, be it shows you were at, or heard by other means :)
Personally:
State Theatre 2012:aka the misadventures of Chris and Suzie and the police.
Apart the experiences before the show including the M&G (got a kick outta my GOT MEAT LOAF? shirt), the show itself of course was fantastic. Especially Giving Tree.
Birmingham 1988:(Probably the concert I listen to the most, its perfection)
Combine the best Bad For Good, Lost Boys Golden Girls, and Masculine you have the best show ever.
Edinburgh 1988: Birmingham is more complete and I personally prefer the quality of that show to this, but this also has gotten a fair amount of play as my second most played live recording. The Lost Boys Tour was legendary.
Offenbach 1984: Hammersmith Odeon 1984 is a bit better quality (they both are fantastic for 80s recordings) but this show stands out to me because of Piece of the Action. That sounds weird, but while both have heartfelt tributes to Wells Kelly it felt much more emotional this show. Plus, while meat sounds fantastic on both, he was just a TAD better here. and only slightly.
PNC Arena July 2010: THe HCTB Tracks plus Hot Patootie were officially released and you can hear how great Meat sounded compared to his previous two tours. The HCTB Tour as a whole was great, with a great recording available from Mohegan Sun, but this concert was special. I just graduated HS and it was my graduation gift.
Cardiff 1993: Cardiff appears twice on this list. The quintessential Bat 2 Tour recording, and tho Objects is glitched to all hell, Rock & Roll Dreams alone sets this apart and brings it onto this list. The quality doesn't lose points either. This show needs no introduction. Neil told me how great it was, and I know many others here went. Lucky ~~~~~~~s.
Beacon 1995: This show really needs no introduction. Pretty much 50% of Live Around the World and a great second disk to the WTTN CD Set. Meat's on freaking point and has provided some of my favorite versions of songs such as Rubber and Bat
Sheffield 1987: The best thing about Sheffield 1987 is the undying energy Meat has and that god-like late 80s voice. Containing the BEST version of Two out of Three, with a woman hoping onstage and being escorted, to Meat performing a gay marriage to a KILLER version of Burning Down this show has it all.
Cardiff 2003: This show sounds liek it was a ball of fun, and it features the premiere of an old vet: Midnight at the Lost & Found. Extended Banter, EXTENDED SONGS, and a fun atmosphere, this show must've been fun! Toronto 1993 almost made it on instead!
Bergen Community College 1989: 1989 Meta sounded SO GOOD. like SO GOOD. Such a passionate show with my second favorite version of Revved up and my favorite rocknroll medley arrangement with Around and Around. Bless my soul this mustve also been a really fun show!!
