I know everyone knows my love affair with the song but my question is....

Why was a song most people besides me don't care for performed so much ?

Especially with Meat when non single album tracks usually don't survive after their respective album tours, give or take a few exceptions in recent years due to the lack of singles.

let alone it was performed more than dead ringer and two out of three during the late 80s early 90s.

Personally, I think because they just wanted a song where they could rock out. And "Masculine" from my memory more or less does that. It doesn't have all these peaks and valleys, I mean. It just... rocks out!

It was the Break It of the late 80s, better live than on record, but overplayed live.

Pretty simple song with a good rock tempo and no huge voice straining parts, of course the lyrics were written by Beavis and Butthead.

It's a big dumb stadium rocker, and at the time, big dumb stadium rockers ruled the roost.
