I've only just seen this, and although the video footage is understandably from phones over a decade old, the audio - and the vocals in particular - are really, really fuc---g good! Very grateful to the person who put this together (Adje?). To me, the vocals are a pleasure to listen to here.
If you haven't seen it, it's out there.
To those who have: what do you think?

Dude, that was a burden to create. Most of the footage were 20 to 40 second clips that needed to be edited together. I spent weeks on that show!
Although I take credit for putting this together, it's manly a bunch of fans who sent me their clips after I asked for it on my website. Thanks to them I was able to put together the 80 minutes :D
And I agree, eventhough some of the video footage is bad (audio is from one source though) there are also a huge amount of very clear video shots (especially for it's time). Even by this footage there is no denying that this was a special night!

Well, it definitely gets my vote. Thought it was an incredibly well put together video - must've taken you hours to get through! Glad I got a chance to see it.
The vocals are really tight for 2006, and Meat still has that great timbre to his voice which, for me, really defines the 'Meat Loaf sound'.
I want to see!
It's on YT on both my channel (MLConcerts) and Wario's channel ;)
Remember I saw the poster on internet. Which was the inspiration for a possible DVD artwork cover (The cover was actually created before I started planning on creating that concert footage. I changed the backside a little after there was actually a concert to be shown) :D

Anyway I agree. Meat clearly has a big amount of fun. He has always claimed this to be one of his 3 most favorite shows. And clearly so

And at the 36 minute mark Bad For Good sounds fantastic. The camera quality here is great for the year; you can really see how into Meat is. He really looks like he's ENJOYING himself. Fantastic video. If only this was the gig that got recorded for DVD release!

It was sort of a jigsaw puzzle. I remember I got frustrated with all those 30 second clips of a chorus (figuring out when it belonged in a certain song wasn't always easy )
I have done better editing work though (LAB comes to mind and Hang Cool) but this one has given me most satisfaction. I was not there but putting this together I realised what I actually have been missing... Envy the folks who witnessed it live

Agreed. The second part also is almost complete. Most gaps are in the first part of the show (first 25 minutes of the concert footage). But all over you can tell how much fun it was for Meat and the band.
It also has the infamous 'Brad Pitt call' sketch in Paradise. Meat seems to love that part. I know he has mentioned it on this board a few times

It really is a great gig. Meat's in pitch, and 'in character', and in fine form vocally. Every time I come across one of those clips that get posted from recent gigs, I've always got my fingers crossed that it's going to be like this.
something from this show, rather sizable, will be revealed in the future..... all i can say

Heh, well I know that he hadn't recorded 'California Isn't Big Enough' at that point then, so I think we're all safe

All you can say? By who's token? Who's going around telling you what you can and can't say about bootlegs?

Before putting this together I had a conversation with a guy (I think Evil pointed him out) who was responsible for the audio system of the orchestra. He filmed parts of this and another show of Meat where they used this system. He told me he was only allowed to film so many minutes of the show and not to tape an entire song. He didn't know if somebody else was allowed to make a proffesional recording but he only got a small amount of footage which was used in a promo clip they made. I always wondered if there was more proffesional footage of this:cool:

If you subscribe to Wario's channel and my channel, combined you get about every decent boot that is out there except for the ones Meat really doesn't want us to share ;)

Thanks a lot. I'm happy they are apreciated :-) But I think the real credit should go to the fans that want us to re-live or want us to experience the fun they had visiting Meat Loaf by sharing their material.
No matter what people think of the (quaity of) the videos. Nobody can deny that they show Meat's passion on stage. And I'm just happy that this makes it able to share Meat's passion with people who aren't able to see him live on stage, for whatever reason

either way you got good ,material
Back in like before circa January 2007 none of the stuff was as redilly available to fans. Cause a lot of old traders were very selfish keeping a lot of great stuff to themselves. Once I got my foot in the door I pretty much gathered the best of the best, as did Adje at around the same time and boom. We made fans a lot happier.
Between him, me and Evill One we combined are your go to. Evil One and me in particular may seem like we bu heads on this forum but we actually have a lot of mutual respect. We dont even trade anymore. What we do is essentially "hey could I get this?" "Sure! heres a link!" and vice versa. In fact Evil One does some damn good sound cleaning stuff! All three of us helped each other make our collections what they are. you just gotta ask. and 99.9% one of us will have it.
At college i keep the best and my fav recordings on my HD (most if no tall of which are currently on my YT, posted with permission since its mostly circa 1984-1993). The "Completionist stuff" is at home so until like thanksgiving im no help if you want a pretty poor recording for completion sake or an odd show from 1994 or something when we have Cardiff 1993 and Hudson Theatre.
There's still that live recording from storytellers of IJWQ that will never see the light of day cause of selfishness. Few people know who it is on here, and i wont spill. Hell they havent posted in years. Its their decision.

Shame, would love to hear that song live.

I'd love to have audio versions of some of these concerts for my car journeys. Also would be good to add to my collection of Pink Floyd/Genesis Bootlegs. I'm presuming a quick PM to one of you guys might be able to sort that out ;)
As for IJWQ, that is a shame there is no release of that one live. It's the only Bat 2 song to not have an official release right?

Firstly thank you to Adje for the footage .
To have a chance to see some of that fantastic night again .. Wow .. Must say that night at The Albert Hall was just the best ever , I went with my Daughter Joanne ( sexy eyes Jo )
Not only was Meat fantastic , we both met Brian May briefly in the bar , it was also the first time Jo met her hubby Neil ( The Flying Mouse .. Bless ) so brings back so many memories ..
Just wanna say thanks again for your work putting it together
